LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

This week’s pet is JR, owned by Hayley and Danny Christner.

JR, says Hayley, is a sweet, “very much loved” Shiba Inu.

“JR enjoys going on daily walks around the block where he visits all his human and canine friends, as well the the occasional postal employee,” she says. “Upon meeting him, the most common remark is ‘Oh my goodness, he looks like a fox!’”

The cheerful, 7-year-old pup is “highly intelligent but selective in his listening,” Hayley adds. “Though he doesn’t necessarily aim to please, he is sweet and good natured.”

JR loves to share food and loves when his parents friends come to visit, she explains. “He enjoys sharing pretzels with his friend Tony and peanut butter crackers with his Great-Grammy. JR’s favorite way to end the day is snuggling in bed for a bedtime story, where mom reads aloud to him from whatever book she is reading.”

Keep your eyes peeled for a fox out on walks, and congratulate JR for being LebTown’s Pet of the Week!
