After playing Santa all day (both literally and figuratively), no one in our house felt like cooking, and it was getting late. So, we decided to head to the village of Quentin on Main Street and the Quentin Tavern Restaurant.

Whether we eat inside or on the deck, we are rarely disappointed when we dine here. Though their menu has gotten significantly smaller since the pandemic started, they are still turning out great meals.
One of my favorite meals here is unfortunately not on the menu right now: the pierogi pot roast dish with a horseradish cream sauce. It was so flavorful, and I find myself craving it often. I did mimic it in my own kitchen one time, and, while it was delicious, it just didnโt compare to the Quentin Tavernโs. Hopefully, they see this, theyโll grant my wish, and it will return!
Since I couldnโt get my favorite dish, I opted for another pasta dish. I made a small mistake when I ordered the absolute seafood pasta, because I didnโt specify the small. When it came out, I realized my error. It was a large portion that looks like it could feed a family of four. Thatโs OK, though, because Iโm not afraid of leftovers!
This linguini pasta dish is smothered in a vodka cream sauce and tossed with a generous helping of crabmeat and shrimp. I ate a quarter of the meal (with some help from our little critic who loved the shrimp!), took home what was left, and got three more meals out of it!
The salad that accompanied it was equally delicious, I opted for bleu cheese dressing, and it was a perfect choice.
Our second dish was one of the Tavernโs specials: chicken and waffles. Two fluffy Belgian waffles were covered with chunks of chicken, veggies, and gravy. The meal was satisfying but left the critic wishing for a crispier waffle and more spice. The gravy itself was bland but we got plenty of portions.
There was a side included with the meal, and this critic chose a side salad to accompany it.
Our take: Quentin Tavern has an eclectic menu that will please a wide variety of tastes. Going beyond the standard pub fare, they offer upscale entrees. The food quality stands out. They offer several dining options inside and outside, even having their deck open and heated (and the igloos are back this year). Seating can be tight inside, but thatโs how itโs supposed to be. The staff is friendly and efficient.
