Bethel Township

Indecent Assault – Police are investigating a report of inappropriate contact with a female, 11, of Grantville, that occurred on School Drive sometime between 12 a.m. Jan. 1 and 11:59 p.m. Feb. 24. This investigation remains open.

City of Lebanon

DUI – At 11:14 a.m. March 8, police conducted a traffic stop on Linden and South 10th streets on a 1993 Chevrolet S10 for traffic violations. Through investigation, it was discovered that the driver, Joseph Bleecker, 53, of Lebanon, was under the influence of controlled substances. Bleecker was then charged with driving under the influence and summary charges.

Driving While DUI-Suspended – At 6:21 p.m. March 1, police arrested Jacky Cruz, 29, of Lebanon, for driving while DUI-suspended (third offense). This incident took place on North 9th Street and involved a 2015 Toyota Camry.

Public Drunkenness – A 37-year-old Lebanon man was cited for public drunkenness at 11:03 p.m. March 10 at South 5th and Locust streets.

Harassment – A 54-year-old Lebanon woman and a 23-year-old Lebanon man were cited for harassment after an incident at 9:57 p.m. Feb. 28 on the 400 block of North 7th Street.

Disorderly Conduct – A 34-year-old Lebanon woman, a 46-year-old Lebanon man, an 18-year-old Lebanon woman, a 27-year-old Chambersburg woman, a 39-year-old Lebanon woman, a 20-year-old Lebanon man, and a 74-year-old Lebanon woman have all been cited with disorderly conduct after being involved in a fight at 2:21 p.m. Feb. 20 on the 500 block of Weidman Street.

Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, Public Drunkenness – Charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness have been filed against Chad Dunlap, 33, of Lebanon, after an incident at 8:17 p.m. March 8 on the 300 block of South 5th Street. Dunlap is accused of causing a disturbance while intoxicated when he was leaving a business on the 300 block of South 5th Street. He is accused of resisting being handcuffed and spitting on security staff at a local medical facility. Dunlap was incarcerated on a Lebanon County Bench Warrant.

Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Governmental Functions – Charges of obstructing administration of law or other governmental functions and disorderly conduct have been filed against Marjorie Rosario Heredia, 18, of Lebanon, after being involved in a fight at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 on the 200 block of Harrison Street.

Drug Possession – A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia has been filed against Gregory Livering, 38, of North Lebanon, after a traffic stop at 10:09 p.m. Feb. 3 at Federal and South 11th streets. Livering was the passenger in the vehicle.

Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct – A 27-year-old Newmanstown woman has been cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after an incident at 1:58 a.m. March 17 on the 300 block of North 5th Street. As a result of this same incident, a 39-year-old Lebanon woman was cited for disorderly conduct, and a 41-year-old Lebanon woman was cited for public drunkenness.

Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness – A 56-year-old Lebanon man was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness at 10:06 p.m. March 12 on the 00 block of North 9th Street.

Drug Possession – Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia have been filed against Jorge Santiago Cataquet, 36, of Lebanon, after a traffic stop at 4:08 a.m. March 6 on the 300 block of North 9th Street.

DUI, Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages – Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and restrictions on alcoholic beverages have been filed against Robert Smith, 52, of Lebanon, after a traffic stop at 10 p.m. Feb. 12 on the 500 block of East Weidman Street. Police allege his BAC at the time of the stop was .197%.

Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury While Not Properly Licensed – Charges of accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, disregard for traffic lane, required financial responsibility, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and restrictions on alcoholic beverages have been filed against Leon Gettler, 62, of North Lebanon, after a traffic accident at 12:01 p.m. Jan. 22 at Jonestown Road and Reinoehl Street. As a result of the traffic accident, occupants of another vehicle received minor injuries. Police allege Gettler’s BAC was .226% at the time of the accident.

DUI – A charge of driving under the influence of alcohol has been filed against Kateryna Grob, 35, of Berwick, after she was found unconscious in her vehicle at North 3rd Street and Schneider Drive at 3:12 p.m. Feb. 4. Police allege her BAC was .235%.

Cleona Borough

DUI Crash – At 12:11 a.m. March 12, police arrested Brittany Scholl, 32, of Cleona, for driving under the influence of alcohol. The crash occurred on the 00 block of Walnut Mill Lane. The vehicles involved included a 2016 Jeep Compass and a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic. The victim was a man, 49, of Cleona.

Cornwall Borough

Deer Struck – A man, 50, of Lebanon, struck a deer at 6:37 a.m. March 14 near the intersection of Cornwall and North Cornwall roads. No injuries were reported, according to police. The vehicle sustained moderate damage but was drivable. The deer fled.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – At 9 p.m. March 8, a crash occurred in Funck’s parking lot, at 1805 N. SR 934. The vehicle was traveling west through the parking lot when it struck bollards near the gas pumps. The vehicle continued west, striking a post near the entrance of the parking lot. The vehicle then fled the scene. The extent of the damage to the vehicle is unknown. It is also unknown whether, and to what extent, the driver of the vehicle sustained any injuries.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – At 11:38 a.m. March 11, this crash occurred as a 2021 Dodge Ram 3500 van driven by a 35-year-old Las Vegas, NV, man was stopped at a stop sign on Distillery Road, preparing to make a left turn onto Schaeffer Road. A 1992 Peterbilt 349 driven by a 25-year-old Manheim man was traveling east on Schaeffer Road, nearing its intersection with Distillery Road. The Las Vegas man proceeded to make a left turn without clearance, and directly into the path of the oncoming Peterbilt. Initial impact occurred between the driver’s side of the Dodge and the front-end of the Peterbilt. The Dodge was then spun in a counterclockwise direction, where it impacted a guide rail. Both the Las Vegas man and the Manheim man were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Las Vegas man was evaluated by medical personnel on scene and was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation. The Manheim man reported no injuries, according to police. The Dodge was towed from the scene by RJ Sells Towing. The Peterbilt was towed from the scene by Valley View Towing. Police were also assisted on the scene by Lebanon County fire/police. The Las Vegas man was cited for vehicle turning left.

Jackson Township

Harassment Physical Contact – At 10:06 a.m. Feb. 26, police arrived at Yeagley Road for a report of a domestic incident. The victim was a woman, 33, of New Holland. The arrestee was a man, 32, of Myerstown. Police are investigating.

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 8:29 a.m. March 18, a crash occurred on East Lincoln Avenue at its intersection with Wintersville Road. A 2016 Mini Countryman driven by a 32,-year-old Lebanon man was traveling east on East Lincoln Avenue when it drove through a steady red signal at the intersection and struck a 2021 Ram 4500 driven by a 62,-year-old Womelsdorf man. The Mini Countryman sustained heavy, disabling damage to its front bumper area as a result. The Ram sustained damage to its driver’s side and sustained a ruptured fuel tank as a result. The Lebanon man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Womelsdorf man was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Neither man reported any injuries, according to police. The Lebanon man was cited for traffic-control signals.

Identity Theft – At 7:40 a.m. March 17, police responded to Hilltop Road for identity theft. Through investigation, it was determined that an unknown individual opened a Bank of America account in the victim’s name. The victim, 70, of Myerstown, became aware of this incident on March 17 when she began receiving emails from Bank of America. The victim immediately contacted Bank of America and closed the fraudulent account. The victim reported no financial loss as a result of this incident. The victim had already contacted the credit bureaus and obtained fraud protection. The victim was advised to contact the Social Security Administration and the Federal Trade Commission in order to secure her identity. The victim was also advised to monitor her financial accounts for any suspicious transactions. The stolen property included the victim’s identity.

Millcreek Township

Theft Disposition of Funds – At 10:55 a.m. March 17, police responded to the Millers Service Center, located at 440 E. Main St., for a report of a bad check that had bounced and has not since been paid for. Police are investigating.

Myerstown Borough

Identity Theft – At approximately 3:28 p.m. March 16, police responded to the PSP Jonestown Barracks for an identity theft/unemployment fraud report by the victim, 52, of Myerstown. Through further investigation, police learned that an unidentified person attempted to put a false deposit on her unemployment card. The unidentified person also gained access to her unemployment account, and some of her information was changed. No monetary value was reported lost/stolen by the victim. The victim was advised to contact the Federal Trade Commission as well as the unemployment office in reference to this incident. The stolen property included unemployment fraud/identity. Anyone with any information pertaining to this investigation is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2022-326423.

North Cornwall Township

Drug Possession, Drivers Required to Be Licensed – At 7:14 p.m. Feb. 9, Nichole Gooden, 45, of Lebanon, was stopped for a faulty vehicle light. She was charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia, drivers required to be licensed, and general lighting requirements. 

Vehicle Accident – At 2:47 p.m. March 10, a crash occurred on the 1700 block of Quentin Road. A vehicle driven by an 87-year-old Myerstown woman collided with a vehicle driven by an 82-year-old Lebanon woman as both vehicles were backing out of parking spaces at the same time. No injuries were reported, according to police. The vehicles sustained minor damage. 

Vehicle Accident – At 10:51 a.m. March 10, a crash occurred at the roundabout at Colebrook and Rocherty roads. A vehicle driven by a 59-year-old Pottstown man was traveling south on Colebrook Road and was unable to slow or stop his vehicle at the roundabout. He struck a yield sign and traveled over the rocks to the center of the roundabout. The vehicle came to rest in the roundabout on the south side, facing the wrong way. The vehicle was towed. No injuries were reported.   

Vehicle Accident – At 12:44 p.m. March 12, a crash occurred on West Oak Street at Snitz Creek Park. A vehicle driven by a 62-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling west on West Oak Street and struck a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Lebanon man as he was turning right off of the roadway. Both units sustained light/moderate damage and were able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported. 

Vehicle Accident – On March 12, a crash occurred on Colebrook Road at Spangler Road. A vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling north on Colebrook Road. She observed the vehicles ahead and attempted to stop. Her vehicle slid on the snow-covered roadway and struck a tree. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. 

Hit-and-Run – At 6:12 p.m. March 12, a hit-and-run crash occurred on the 1600 block of Chestnut Street. A vehicle driven by Ruth Vanetta Crandall, 60, of Lebanon, was traveling on Chestnut Street, approaching traffic at the red traffic signal, and struck a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Lebanon man. After colliding with the first vehicle, Crandall fled the scene and struck two more vehicles parked (unoccupied) on Chestnut Street. No injuries were reported. Two vehicles had to be towed. 

Vehicle Accident – At 4:50 p.m. March 15, this crash occurred on Rocherty and Cornwall roads. A vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Myerstown woman struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Newmanstown man. The Newmanstown man complained of neck and lower back pain but declined treatment from EMS. The vehicles sustained minor damage, and they were driven from the scene.

Disorderly Conduct – On March 15, this crash occurred on the 100 block of Millview Court. A local man was cited for the North Cornwall Township noise ordinance. Police were called for a complaint of loud music at the residence. Police responded and cited him with disorderly conduct.

Simple Assault – At 7:57 a.m. March 16, an incident occurred on the 1900 block of Walnut Street. Terrel Williams, 30, of Lebanon, was charged with simple assault for punching a male victim during an altercation at the residence.

Vehicle Accident – At 6:29 p.m. March 16, a crash occurred on the 500 block of Penn Avenue. A vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Lebanon woman was backing out of a parking space and struck the side of a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Lebanon man. The vehicles sustained minor damage as a result of this crash. No injuries were reported.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – At 12:14 a.m. March 10, police arrested Debra Newhouse, 57, of Cleona, for driving under the influence of alcohol. This incident occurred on Old Ebenezer and Ebenezer roads. The vehicles involved included a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe.

North Londonderry Township

Control of Alarm Devices – Police have cited Lowe’s Home Improvement, at 70 North Londonderry Square, with control of alarm devices, following seven false fire alarms between Jan. 12 and March 13. The law states that more than three false alarms in a 12 consecutive month period are a violation.

Palmyra Borough

DUI Incapable Of Safe Driving – At 3:54 p.m. March 5, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of West Main Street for traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Thomas Vanscyoc. Vanscyoc was visibly intoxicated and showed multiple signs of impairment after running tests. He was then placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI but later refused a legal blood draw. On March 7, charges were filed against Vanscyoc for DUI incapable of safe driving and two summary traffic violations. 

Union Township

Theft By Deception – Sometime between 11 a.m. Feb. 16 and sometime March 2, actor(s) stole a check from the victim, a man, 44, of Myerstown.
