LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Today, meet Jakie Torres. Jakie is a “chorkie,” or a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, according to his owner, Tracey Torres.
“Jakie is a sweet and funny boy that is extremely loyal,” she says. “He loves getting attention and will sit and watch the door or out the window until his mom comes home, and knows exactly what her car sounds like when she parks in front of the house. He is excited to welcome everyone into our home by jumping up to greet them and trying to cover them in kisses when they get down to his level.”
He’s also a pretty good watchdog, says Tracey, of Lebanon. “Jakie likes to alert his family to possible dangers near the house, whether it is people walking by or the wind blowing too hard. He is very protective of his girls and loves kids. Jakie communicates by staring at us and then moving his head in the direction of what he wants until we figure it out.”
As for hobbies, Tracey says Jakie “LOVES french fries, chasing squirrels and chipmunks, and taking naps with anyone he can cuddle next to.”
Keep your eyes peeled for Jakie, and be sure to keep a french fry in your pocket โฆ just in case!
