Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
Welcome to another exciting series, the “Ice Cream Wars.” We will be traveling across the Valley to find the best in local ice cream.
As we continue our journey on the Ice Cream Wars, we found ourselves out in a summertime locale. Typically opened from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Fertile Valley Farms offers a simple ice cream menu.
The truck can be found out on a set schedule Tuesday through Friday plus some additional events. They are a cash only operation.

I got a chance to try a small cone twist soft serve ($2). They also have milkshakes and a root beer float on the menu. The menu is simple with no extra toppings.
The soft serve was very creamy and portioned correctly. The small was actually a small serving and we imagine a large would actually be a large serving. And given the price, it’s hard to beat. A very affordable treat to enjoy. We do wish they offered some toppings.
We give this place .
