Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
As we continue our journey on the Ice Cream Wars, we found ourselves down in the southern end of the Valley.
We were made aware of a late entrant into the Ice Cream Wars. Thanks to Kelsey for reaching out to us and letting us know about MHS Project Market, a program at Milton Hershey School.

The Spartan Ice Cream Center, after a two-year hiatus, is back and churning their special ice cream as part of the school’s Project Market program. If you plan to go, they are located at 665 Brook Drive, on the grounds of MHS, in the concession stand on the exterior of the Athletic center.
They are open midday on Wednesdays through the month of July. You can follow the program on Facebook for future dates of operation.
For today, we got a single serve cup of cookies & cream ($3) and a half-gallon of teaberry ($8). They have a wide selection for single serve and half-gallon options.
The cookies & cream, a creamy and soft blend mixed with Oreo cookie, was a very delectable treat, especially on a hot day. Unfortunately, this treat was gone too quickly.
The teaberry, more of a vanilla based, has a subtle teaberry flavor with an extra hint of vanilla mixed in. For the diehard teaberry lovers, you may be disappointed as the teaberry flavor is not as forward as you expected. But for us, that lasting subtle flavor makes this a treat to enjoy as a main bowl or a side scoop with dessert.
