Bethel Township

Natural Death – Police responded to Frystown Road for a report of a 71-year-old Fredericksburg man who was unconscious and cold to the touch. EMS arrived on the scene prior to the police and determined the victim to be deceased. Police determined the victim went to bed at approximately 11 p.m. July 16 and passed in his sleep of apparent natural causes. The victim had multiple health issues, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and supraventricular tachycardia. Police observed no signs of foul play. A funeral home removed the victim from the scene.

City of Lebanon

DUI – At 1:54 a.m. July 17, the arrestee, a 24-year-old Lebanon man, operated his vehicle, a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, on North 10th Street while under the influence of alcohol.

Receiving Stolen Property, Possession with Intent to Deliver, Drug Possession – Police cited Gaven Looney, 20, of Lebanon, with receiving stolen property, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after assisting Lebanon County sheriff deputies on the 300 block of Federal Street. Deputies were serving bench warrants at that location at 9:09 a.m. July 7 and requested assistance for the additional charges. Police allege Looney possessed a handgun that had previously been reported stolen to Lebanon city police. Police transported Looney to LCCB and arraigned him before MDJ John Ditzler. He was transported to LCCF in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct – Police cited Pamela Hankins, 57, of Lebanon, with aggravated assault, simple assault, and disorderly conduct after an incident at 2:23 p.m. July 14 on the 600 block of North 10th Street. Hankins is accused of striking a male victim and biting his finger, as well as striking another male victim once with a closed fist. Both males were construction workers. When police arrived, Hankins is accused of reinitiating the argument with the two victims. Hankins attempted to bite a police officer while she was being arrested. Police transported Hankins to LCCB and arraigned her before MDJ Aurelis Figueroa. She was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.

Bench Warrant, Possession with Intent to Deliver, Drug Possession – Police cited Mario Gerena, 32, of Lebanon, with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was arrested on a Lebanon County bench warrant. The arrest occurred at 3:23 p.m. July 11 on the 100 block of North 5th Street. Gerena was incarcerated at LCCF on the bench warrant.

Disorderly Conduct – Police cited Jared Bilips, 29, of Jonestown, with disorderly conduct at 12:55 p.m. July 18 on the 700 block of Cumberland Street. Police transported Bilips to LCCB and arraigned him before MDJ Aurelis Figueroa. Bilips was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $100 bail.

East Hanover Township

Theft of Motor Vehicle – At approximately 11:42 a.m. July 16, police responded to Kreiser Fuel Service at 122 Racehorse Drive. Sometime between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. July 16, an unknown actor gained access to the victim’s vehicle, a blue 2001 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen. The vehicle was unlocked, and the keys were in it. Other employees at the facility confronted the actor, who eventually got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Surveillance footage is being reviewed in an attempt to identify the actor. The victim was a 43-year-old Fredericksburg woman. Police are investigating.

Retail Theft – At approximately 10:16 a.m. July 17, police responded to Kreiser Fuel Service for a report of retail theft. Accounts and surveillance footage taken at the scene indicate that a black sedan, believed to be an Audi of an unknown model with an unknown registration number, pumped 10.401 gallons of gas, valued at $47.83, and left the station without paying for it. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident – At 9:29 p.m. July 17, this crash occurred as a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 36-year-old Mohrsville woman was traveling east on Allentown Boulevard (SR 22). The Jeep was traveling in the right travel lane when it struck a downed tree on the road. The Jeep was towed from the scene. Simmers was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At approximately 6:45 a.m. July 14, police responded to South Millbach Road for a single-vehicle crash. A 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 16-year-old Richland male struck a guide rail while traveling on South Millbach Road after the male fell asleep and exited the road. The Dodge sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash. The male’s family towed the Dodge from the scene. The male was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. Police cited the male with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Jackson Township

Identity Theft – At 6:23 p.m. July 14, a 30-year-old Myerstown man contacted PSP Jonestown and said an unknown actor(s) opened a bank account in his name, using his personal information. The victim had already contacted the bank regarding the incident. The victim suffered no financial loss as a result of the incident. Police are investigating.

Theft by Deception – At approximately 1:54 p.m. July 13, police received a report of a theft/scam. An unknown actor(s) gained access to the victim’s computer and convinced the victim, a 73-year-old Myerstown woman, that they were a legitimate computer specialist(s). The actor(s) instructed the victim to wire funds into an account under the guise that it would protect the victim’s funds. The victim sustained a monetary loss totaling $136,070.

Identity Theft – At approximately 3:33 p.m. July 18, police responded to the 100 block of Gable Drive for identity theft. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) opened a Sable credit card account in the victim’s name. The victim, a 58-year-old Myerstown woman, became aware of the incident after receiving credit alerts via phone and email on July 15. The victim reported the fraudulent account to the credit card company, which resulted in the account being deactivated and closed. No fraudulent purchases were made, and the victim sustained no monetary loss as a result of the incident. Police provided the victim with contact information for the Federal Trade Commission and explained how to report the incident to various identity theft agencies.

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 11:28 a.m. July 10, a crash occurred as a 2015 Nissan Rogue driven by a 77-year-old Myerstown man was traveling east on the 500 block of East Lincoln Avenue (SR 422). The Nissan exited the right side of the road and into the residence’s yard, striking and obliterating a small wooden pole. The Nissan continued into the neighbor’s residence’s yard, striking the porch attached to the front of the residence. The Nissan sustained disabling damage. RJ Sells Towing towed the Nissan from the scene. The Myerstown man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained injuries of unknown severity, and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to Reading Hospital. Keystone Hook and Ladder, Myerstown, also assisted on the scene. Police cited the Myerstown man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Millcreek Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving On Roadways Laned For Traffic – At 9:26 a.m. July 15, a crash occurred on the 200 block of South Sheridan Road. A 2014 Ford F-150XLT driven by a 79-year-old Denver man was traveling south on South Sheridan Road when it traveled off the right side of the road and into a yard, striking the front of a residence. The Ford sustained disabling damage. Leffler’s Towing towed the Ford from the scene. The Denver man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained no injuries, and refused transport. Newmanstown Fire and Myerstown EMS also assisted on the scene. Police cited the Denver man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Myerstown Borough

Firearm Not to Possess – At 4:43 p.m. Feb. 18, an incident occurred on the 00 block of East Main Avenue. Police were advised of a PICS denial in which a person not to possess firearms attempted to purchase multiple firearms. The investigation is ongoing.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – At 4:50 p.m. July 15, a crash occurred on the 1600 block of Colebrook Road. A vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Lebanon man was traveling north on Colebrook Road when traffic stopped ahead of him.ย While waiting to turn into a driveway, a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Lebanon woman rear-ended the Lebanon man’s vehicle.ย No injuries were reported. One of the vehicles was towed from the scene.ย 

Vehicle Accident – At 2:32 p.m. July 16, a crash occurred on the 1900 block of Quentin Road. A vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Lebanon man was traveling north and a vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Cornwall man was traveling south when it swerved into the Lebanon man’s vehicle.ย No injuries were reported.ย Both vehicles were towed from the scene.ย 

Vehicle Accident – At 9:05 p.m. July 16, a crash occurred on Creekside Drive. A vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Lititz man lost control of his vehicle while rounding the corner onto Creekside Drive.ย No injuries were reported.ย The man’s vehicle was towed from the scene.ย 

North Lebanon Township

Vehicle Accident – A 21-year-old Lebanon man and a 26-year-old Lebanon woman were involved in a crash on SR 72 and Horst Drive at 2:48 p.m. July 6.

Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered – Police cited Chantz Wenzler, 25, of Lebanon, with controlled substance by person not registered after they responded to the 1300 block of Sandhill Road for a wanted person.

DUI – At 11:06 p.m. July 17, police arrested Lloyd Reigel, 69, of Ono, for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. This incident occurred on Long Lane and Sandra Drive and involved a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief – Police cited a 24-year-old Lebanon man with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after an incident on July 8 in the 1200 block of Lehman Street, where he punched out a driver’s window after a road rage incident.

Harassment – Police cited a 48-year-old Lebanon woman with harassment after an incident at the Planet Fitness parking lot in the Lebanon Valley Mall parking lot on June 27.

Receiving Stolen Property – Police cited Jose Cruz-Robles, 35, of Lebanon, with receiving stolen property after an incident at Walmart, 1355 E. Lehman St., on June 8.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 11:30 a.m. July 16, police responded to Forge Road and Elm Street for a crash. A vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Palmyra man failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Hummelstown man. A passenger in the Hummelstown man’s vehicle was transported to the Hershey Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Palmyra Fire Department and Fire Police. Police cited the Palmyra man with stop signs and yield signs.

Disorderly Conduct – At 3:43 p.m. July 15, police cited a 52-year-old Kulpmont man with disorderly conduct after he held a knife out of his car window after a traffic altercation with another vehicle on East Main Street.

Palmyra Borough

Theft by Unlawful Taking – At approximately 7 p.m. March 18, police responded to the 300 block of North Railroad Street for a theft. Police determined that Tyquan Butler-Stern, 20, unlawfully tookย $460 from the victim. On July 7, the charges were filed at MDJ Garver’s office for theft by unlawful taking.

DUI, Drug Possession, Obedience to Traffic Control Devices – At approximately 9:50 p.m. June 13, police conducted aย ย traffic stop and identified the driver as Isaac Shedrick. During the stop, police observed indicators that Shedrick was under the influence of a controlled substance. Police also found Shedrick to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.ย On July 11, charges were filed at MDJ Garver’s office against Isaac forย driving while under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, obedience to traffic control devices, driving while operating privilege is suspended, and general lighting requirements.

PFA Violation – At approximately 6:39 a.m. July 15, police responded to the 600 block of West Maple Street for a reported violation of aย Protection From Abuseย order and located Andrew Bennett, 46, in the general area of the residence.ย Police arrested Bennett for theย PFA violation and took him to LCCB. Police cited Bennett with contempt for violation of the order.

Identity Theft, Access Device Fraud, Theft by Unlawful Taking – At approximately 5:20 p.m. Sept. 2, police responded to the 100 block of South Railroad Street for a report from a resident that her debit card had been used without her authorization.ย Police determined that Brenda Soto, 39, of Lebanon, was responsible for the theft.ย On June 30, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging Soto with one count of identity theft, one count of access device fraud, and one count of theft by unlawful taking.ย 

Drug Possession – At approximately 2 a.m. April 29, police responded to the 00 block of East Broad Street for a reported structure fire. Police determined that the resident, Dylan Nesbitt, 26, was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.ย On June 27, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging Nesbitt with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana.ย 

Drug Possession, Driving without a License – At approximately 8:17 a.m. July 2, police initiated a traffic stop on a yellow Ford Mustang.ย Police identified the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, as Darby Kreiser, 18. It was known to officers that Kreiser does not have a valid license.ย During the stop, police recovered marijuana and related drug paraphernalia. On July 13, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging Kreiser with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana, and one count of driving without a license.ย ย 

Theft of Secondary Metal, Receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Trespass – At approximately 8 a.m. June 9, management at ASK Foods, 77 North Hetrick Ave., reported a theft.ย Police determined that Cody Gravino, 28, and Michael Tobias, 34, entered ASK’s property without permission and removed a generator.ย On July 11, criminal complaints were filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging Tobiasย and Gravino each with one count of theft of secondary metal, one count of receiving stolen property, and one count of criminal trespass.ย 

Bench Warrant, Theft by Deception, Retail Theft – At approximately 6:31 p.m. July 20, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of North Railroad Street. During the stop, police recognized a passenger as Kurt Webber, 52, who was known to police to be wanted on a Lebanon County bench warrant for failure to appear for sentencing, with the original charges being theft by deception and retail theft. Police placed Webber under arrest for the warrant and transported him to LCCB for processing.ย ย 

Harassment – At approximately 3:40 p.m. July 11, police responded to the 100 block of East Main Street for a reported incident in which a Palmyra man approached a vehicle sittingย in traffic on the road. The Palmyra man proceeded to have a physical altercation with the driver, striking him on the left side of his face. Police cited him with harassment.

Richland Borough

Harassment – At approximately 7:34 a.m. July 16, police received a report of an inactive domestic between a wife and a husband that occurred sometime between 9 and 11:59 p.m. July 15 on South Race Street. Police found both parties at fault but deemed the wife the aggressor. Charges are pending.

Swatara Township

Assault Bodily Injury No Weapon – At 5 p.m. July 21, police responded to Cindy Drive for a reported domestic. The domestic incident resulted in the victim, a 42-year-old Jonestown woman, requiring medical attention for her injuries. Police arrested the arrestee, a 42-year-old Jonestown man. The arrestee is pending his preliminary hearing.

Union Township

Theft Items from Motor Vehicle – Police responded to the 3000 block of SR 72 for a reported theft. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) arrived at the location sometime between 12:01 a.m. July 11 and 1:36 p.m. July 18. and removed a catalytic converter, valued at $300, from a 2009 Ford Focus, then fled the scene. No surveillance footage or investigative leads were obtained. The victim was Fortna’s Used Cars in Jonestown.

West Lebanon Township

Harassment, Disorderly Conduct – Police cited two Lebanon men, ages 19 and 38, with harassment and disorderly conduct after an incident at Rutterโ€™s, 1621 W. Cumberland St., on July 2, during which the men pointed a BB gun at the victim. Police also cited a 13-year-old juvenile with harassment and disorderly conduct for their involvement in the incident.
