Update 9/30: Lebanon City Police said in a statement that they have determined this incident did not take place in Lebanon and is alleged to have occurred in Jonestown. The incident is now being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police.
Lebanon Police are investigating a stabbing that possibly occurred in the city over the weekend.
Police said they were requested to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital at 1:47 a.m. on Sunday morning, Sept. 25, for a victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. The man, police said, was identified as a 47-year-old Lebanon male, but they have not yet been able to interview him, according to the release, and are unsure where he was stabbed.
The man was transported to another medical facility for treatment of lacerations and stab wounds.
Police said they were told the assault occurred in the vicinity of 12th and Uhler streets but have not been able to locate a crime scene. According to the release, police are unsure if the assault occurred within the city.
