Lebanon Valley College will present a free performance of “Las Magnificas” on Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Blair Music Center’s Lutz Hall.

The performance is sponsored by the Lebanon Valley College languages department thanks to the support of the Hobson and Grace ’30 Fund, as well as the college’s music department and office of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

The show stars actor/vocalist Nadya Encarnacion as multiple renowned Latin American singers: Celia Cruz, the Cuban “Queen of Salsa,” Chilean singer-songwriter Violeta Parra, “the Mother of Latin American Folk Music,” and the iconic Mexican performer Chavela Vargas.

Encarnacion interacts with an on-stage chamber music trio of cello, piano, and percussion.

The Blair Music Center is located on LVC’s campus, at the corner of Sheridan and North College avenues.
