Bethel Township

Death Investigation – At 7:17 a.m. Dec. 14, police responded to Freeport Road for a death investigation. Police determined that this was an isolated incident, and there is no further threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 5:56 a.m. Dec. 15, a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling east on East Main Street when its driver observed a vehicle turning left at the intersection with North Pine Grove Street. The Mitsubishi stopped. A 2019 Subaru Subaru-WRX/STI was traveling behind the Mitsubishi and did not have time to stop, instead swerving into the west lane and sideswiping a 2010 Ford Club Wagon E350 that was traveling in the west lane of East Main Street. The Mitsubishi was driven from the scene. The Subaru and the Ford were both drivable but were towed from the scene as their drivers did not feel comfortable driving. No injuries were reported. Police cited the driver of the Subaru with driving vehicle at safe speed.

East Hanover Township

Harassment – At approximately 6:19 p.m. Dec. 12, police responded to Racehorse Drive for a report of an active domestic dispute. Police determined that a 37-year-old Jonestown man had pushed a 76-year-old Jonestown woman. Charges against the man for harassment were filed in District Court.

North Londonderry Township

DUI, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – Police cited Allen Stevenson, 63, of Milton, for his involvement in a crash that occurred Dec. 5 on the 500 block of Gravel Hill Road involving rollover and entrapment. Police determined that Stevenson had been drinking alcohol prior to driving and cited Stevenson with one count of DUI-general impairment and one count of driving vehicle at safe speeds.

Palmyra Borough

Simple Assault, Harassment – At approximately 12:05 a.m. Dec. 5, police responded to the 200 block of West Cherry Street for a domestic dispute. Police observed bite marks on the victim’s body and arrested Joeleen Perry, 51. Perry was transported to LCCB and arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment.

DUI, Limitations on Backing – At approximately 6:24 p.m. Nov. 1, police were requested to assist in an investigation into a crash that occurred on the 800 block of East Main Street. Police determined that one of the involved parties, Ricky Finnicum, 62, showed signs of impairment. Police filed charges against Finnicum of DUI-general impairment, DUI-0.08% to 0.10% BAC, and limitations on backing through MDJ Garver’s office.

Theft By Unlawful Taking – At 11:21 a.m. Nov. 14, police responded to a theft that occurred on the 200 block of South Lingle Avenue. Police observed video footage of a subject, identified as Caleb Arnold, 22, taking an air mover, valued at approximately $300, from the Xtreme Home Improvement business without permission. On Dec. 5, charges of theft by unlawful taking were filed against Arnold through MDJ Garver’s office.

Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Delivery of a Controlled Substance – On June 2, police responded to the Red Carpet Inn, 977 E. Main St., for a report of a deceased subject. Police identified the deceased as Amber Behney, 36. An autopsy determined that Behney died from a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine toxicity. Police identified Michael Lewis, 34, as the individual that delivered the substances to Behney, causing her death. On Dec. 14, police filed charges of drug delivery resulting in death, delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, and involuntary manslaughter against Lewis through MDJ Garver’s office.

DUI – At 2:15 a.m. Oct. 20, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Lessli Gingery, 42, for a vehicle code violation. Police placed Gingery under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Charges of DUI-highest rate (second offense) were filed through MDJ Garver’s office on Dec. 7.

Bench Warrant – At approximately 8 a.m. Dec. 9, police initiated contact with a green Saturn Vue on the 500 block of South Franklin Street. Police identified the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle as Kyle Smith, 27, who was confirmed to have a bench warrant out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department for domestic relations. Police took Smith into custody and transported him to LCCB.

South Londonderry Township

Drug Possession – At 4:06 a.m. Oct. 31, police responded to the intersection of Routes 322 and 117 for a disabled vehicle. Police found the driver, Thomas Cowland III, 43, of Palmyra, in possession of prescription pills (not prescribed to him) and drug paraphernalia.

Hit-and-Run – At 11:38 a.m. Nov. 20, police responded to the Dollar Tree parking lot in the Northside Crossing Shopping Complex at 109 Northside Drive for a reported hit-and-run crash. The caller reported that sometime between 10 and 11:30 a.m., someone struck the rear bumper of her gray Honda Accord. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact South Londonderry Township police at 717-838-1376.

Vehicle Accident – At 7:21 p.m. Nov. 25, police responded to the 2200 block of South Forge Road for a single-vehicle crash involving a deer. The driver, a 57-year-old Palmyra woman, reported no injuries.

Vehicle Accident – At 3:39 a.m. Dec. 2, a Nissan driven by a 21-year-old Palmyra man veered off the road, striking a mailbox, fence, and shrub in the 200 block of Schoolhouse Road. No injuries were reported. The driver said he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his vehicle, which was towed from the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 7:59 a.m. Dec. 7, a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Palmyra woman was traveling south on South Forge Road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a large rock in the 2200 block. The woman’s vehicle sustained damage as a result of the impact. The woman reported no injuries.

Vehicle Accident – At 7:59 a.m. Dec. 6, a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Annville woman was traveling on North Brandt Road, turning onto Landings Drive, when her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Palmyra man who was stopped at a stop sign on Landings Drive. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

Found Property – At 1:25 p.m. Dec. 7, a bicycle was found on the side of a road in South Londonderry Township. The bicycle is in excellent condition and appears to be new. Theft from a Motor Vehicle – At approximately 2:59 p.m. Nov. 26, police responded to the Rails to Trails parking lot in the Colebrook area off Mount Wilson Road. A blue Subaru SUV had been broken into, and items had been stolen from inside. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact South Londonderry Township police at 717-838-1376.

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 5:50 p.m. Dec. 6, police, the Lawn Volunteer Fire Company, and First Aid and Safety Patrol responded to a single-vehicle roll-over crash along Epler Road near the State Gamelands parking area. None of the vehicle’s occupants were injured. Police cited the driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Middletown man, with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Trespass, DUI, Harassment – At 10:29 a.m. Nov. 7, police responded to Flight Path Mini Storage for a well-being check. Officers found Madison Tarlecki, 28, of Palmyra, to be trespassing on the scene. According to the report, she resisted arrest and assaulted two police officers. Police found Tarlecki was under the influence of alcohol at the time and cited her with simple assault, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, DUI, harassment, driving while suspended, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and public drunkenness.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 4:37 a.m. Oct. 26, a silver 2003 Subaru Forester driven by Tony Fahler, 51, of Jonestown, was traveling north in the right lane of State Route 72 when it traversed onto the right shoulder and struck a mailbox in the 2300 block. The Subaru re-entered the road and struck another mailbox just to the north, then came to a rest in the Hutters Gas Station parking lot. Fahler fled the scene on foot. It is unknown if Fahler was wearing his seatbelt or sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Police cited Fahler with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
