LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Joey!
“Fun times ahead!” proclaims Taylor, a dog kennel technician at the Humane Society of Lebanon County.
Joey is a pit bull mix that is about 2 years old, the shelter rep said. “He found his way to the HSLC as a stray,” Taylor explained. “Sadly, he was never reclaimed.”
Don’t let that dissuade you, though. “He is an absolutely amazing boy. We are glad he is safe and not on the streets.”
This handsome black-and-white fella enjoys going for walks,” Taylor said. “He loves to go in the enclosed play yard to run around! He is so happy after getting his zoomies out. Joey likes to play with toys out in the yard, too! He also walks well on a leash.”
At home, Taylor added, “this little low-riding boy likes human affection and snuggles. He even gives kisses and is treat motivated, too! He would do well with kiddos and would make a great family dog. Canine siblings would depend upon a meet and greet.”
Adoption application and more information is available online at lebanonhumane.org or by calling the Humane Society at 717-628-1369.
