Happy Friday! Much needed rain comes Friday in the form of widespread thunderstorms.

Despite cloudy skies Friday morning, we do expect a few breaks of sunshine this afternoon with temps rebounding into the upper 70s before widespread showers and thunderstorms move into the region. If you have outdoor plans, expect heavy rain as these thunderstorms will be mainly heavy rain makers that can and likely lead to flash flooding. A few rumbles of thunder can not be ruled out, but overall, we are not expecting severe weather Friday.

Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with temps returning into the lower 80s. Despite sunshine at times, mostly cloudy skies will win out by the mid afternoon with additional pop up showers possible.

Sunday remains unsettled with more scattered pop up showers possible as temps hold in the lower to mid 80s.
