Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
Welcome to the first season of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Cheesesteak Wars. Four entrants from the Valley will compete to be declared the winner of Best Cheesesteak in The Valley.
Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality of steak, composition, flavor, roll, and overall impression.
We begin in the central portion of the Valley at a place which has just moved to a new location along 422 in North Lebanon Township.

Our selection for judgement this evening was the Philly cheesesteak, cheese wiz, and “witout” ($11).
The sandwich was a simple mash of steak and cheese within a soft roll. Loaded with plenty of steak, it did give off a salty flavor but wasn’t too salty. The roll made for a clean, even bite throughout. Munching this down with a pint of IPA goes well together. Our little critic enjoyed her portion during this meal.
Side note, the new location is absolutely beautiful inside. You should check it out.
How will this cheesesteak stack up against the others? We shall see.
Next up we will travel to our other entrants: Hoagies on Main, Gabby’s Italian Bistro, and Stuff’d Steaks. After which, we will announce our winner!
