Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valleyโ€™s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appรฉtit!

The critic crew has been busy lately and one critic was really in the mood for fried chicken. We remembered a while back, a few of our followers suggested trying Rednerโ€™s Market for fried chicken.

For this eveningโ€™s dinner, we opted to visit Rednerโ€™s Market in Fredericksburg and get an 8 piece fried chicken dinner ($9.99). They have several quantity options from three pieces all the way up to 100 pieces.

Our first bite, we could tell the seasoning was a bit salty, especially if you eat just the skin. On a full bite though, it equaled out. There was also a good crunch to our pieces. Our eight-piece meal came with four dark meat and four white meat pieces.

We chose to get two sides as well with our selection from the deli counter, chopped creamy slaw, and macaroni salad.

Our take: The fried chicken is popular amongst its loyal fans. The seasoning is more salt based than spice based. Perfect for a quick family meal and they have plenty of side options at the deli counter to go along with the chicken.
