City of Lebanon
Criminal Mischief – On Aug. 15, police charged a 42-year-old man after he intentionally damaged the personal property of another on the 300 block of North 8th Street.
Arrest Prior to Requisition – On Aug. 16, police charged Shawn Jared, 36, after police located him in Coleman’s Park after hours. Police conducted a warrant check and found that Jared was wanted out of Colorado.
Theft by Unlawful Taking – On July 26, police charged a 45-year-old man after he stole a Haro Lightline 24 bicycle, valued at $300, on the 900 block of Lehman Street.
Simple Assault – On July 28, police charged Rickey Rembert, 40, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after he grabbed the female victim by the throat and choked her for about two to three minutes. The victim stated that after Rembert choked her, he punched her in the mouth. The victim was in fear for her life and imminent serious bodily injury. This incident occurred on the 00 block of North 6th Street.
Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault – On July 30, police charged Stacy Baltimore, 61, with terroristic threats and simple assault (domestic violence-related) after he struck the female victim in the head with a baseball bat. The victim stated that Baltimore threatened to kill her while he was swinging the bat. The incident occurred on the 400 block of North 5th Street.
Simple Assault – On July 18, police charged Eric DeJesus, 42, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after he took a pillow and placed it over the victim’s face, obstructing her airway. The victim stated that her airway was obstructed for about 10 seconds, which placed her in fear of death or serious bodily injury. The victim also stated that DeJesus threatened to kill her. The incident occurred on the 1100 block of Mifflin Street.
Terroristic Threats – On July 19, police charged Luis Laureano-Batista, 32, after he threatened to put 50 bullets in the head of the female victim and also threatened to slice her throat on the 300 block of Schneider Drive.
Drug Possession, Public Drunkenness – On July 21, police charged Rachelle Pilkington, 32, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness after police were called to the 400 block of North 9th Street to check on the well-being of a woman who was reported to have been acting erratically. Police located the woman on a bench, appearing not to be breathing. Police found that she had an active warrant through the sheriff’s office. She was searched and transported to LCCB.
Curfew Violation – Police charged a 15-year-old male at 11:13 p.m. July 17 on North 8th and Lehman streets.
Drug Possession – Police charged a 60-year-old man with possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:08 a.m. July 12 on the 700 block of Willow Street.
Harassment – Police charged an 18-year-old man at 6:21 p.m. July 17 on the 400 block of Guilford Street.
Defiant Trespass – Police charged a 31-year-old man at 5:05 p.m. July 18 at Lebanon Village.
Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 43-year-old man at 10:58 p.m. July 21 on the 400 block of Lehman Street.
Curfew Violation – Police charged a 14-year-old male at 11:15 p.m. July 22 on the 400 block of Partridge Street.
Vaccination Required – Police charged a 26-year-old woman with vaccination required-certificate and tag at 9:12 a.m. July 23 on the 700 block of Elm Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 48-year-old woman at 11:50 p.m. July 26 on the 700 block of East Cumberland Street.
Littering – Police charged a 48-year-old man at 2:29 p.m. July 31 on the 100 block of North 7th Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 53-year-old woman at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 2 on the 1100 block of Monument Street.
Criminal Trespass – Police charged a 30-year-old man at 5:52 a.m. Aug. 2 on the 300 block of Lehman Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 52-year-old man at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 2 on the 1100 block of Monument Street.
Possession of Alcohol in Public Place – Police charged a 48-year-old man at 9:37 a.m. Aug. 5 on the 200 block of North 7th Street.
Defiant Trespass – Police charged a 47-year-old man at 10:13 p.m. Aug. 7 on the 300 block of North 8th Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 27-year-old man at 12:13 p.m. Aug. 8 on the 100 block of Maple Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 45-year-old man at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 9 on the 1000 block of Lehman Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 25-year-old ma at 9:58 p.m. Aug. 9 on the 1300 block of Church Street.
Harassment, Criminal Trespass, Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 43-year-old man at 10:52 a.m. Aug. 10 on the 400 block of North 6th Street.
Millcreek Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 5:30 p.m. Aug. 25, a single-vehicle crash occurred as a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by a 38-year-old Richland woman was traveling north on Richland Road and exited the road via the left shoulder, striking a fence before the vehicle continued to travel through a driveway and struck a house. The Mitsubishi was towed from the scene by Leffler’s Towing. The woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to Hershey Medical Center. Police charged her with driving on roadways laned for traffic. The Newmanstown Fire Department assisted on the scene.
Myerstown Borough
SERT Response – At approximately 2:07 p.m. Aug. 27, PSP Jonestown was contacted by Lebanon County Crisis, who advised they obtained a 302 warrant for a 37-year-old white male after he threatened to harm himself and others with firearms. PSP Jonestown patrol unit members responded to the residence on the 100 block of South College Street and attempted to make contact with the man by telephone. The man made suicidal and threatening statements. A perimeter was established around the residence by PSP Jonestown patrol unit members, and multiple attempts were made to hail and call the man with negative results. The PSP Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) responded to the scene to assist. Contact was eventually made with the man, who said he was barricaded in his home and continued to make suicidal and threatening statements. After several hours, SERT made contact with the man, who was found deceased with a self-inflicted fatal injury.
North Lebanon Township
Warrant – On Aug. 31, a warrant was issued for Levi Slack, of Lebanon, for retail theft at Walmart. Slack failed to show up at his court hearing on the 31st.
Palmyra Borough
DUI, Traffic Violations – At 12:16 a.m. July 31, police responded to the 600 block of West Oak Street for reports of a vehicle that struck a parked car. Police located the driver and identified her as Daniele Millar, 27. Police determined that Millar was under the influence of alcohol and placed her under arrest for DUI. Blood results later showed that Millar’s BAC was 0.24%. On Aug. 21, charges were filed against Millar for DUI-highest rate of alcohol, DUI-incapable of safe driving, and two summary traffic violations.
Criminal Trespass – On July 20, Kevin Luce Jr., 33, was found trespassing on private property. Verbal notice was given by the property owner to Luce to leave the property. Luce initially refused and only left after police were called. On Aug. 15, a criminal complaint was prepared and filed with MDJ Garver, charging Luce with criminal trespass.
South Lebanon Township
Warrant – Edgardo Ortiz, 34, is wanted by South Lebanon Township police for attempting to purchase a firearm while being prohibited from doing so on July 18.
Access Device Fraud – On April 11, police investigated a fraud complaint. During the investigation, police learned that Hector Cintron Jr., 63, attempted to pay a utility bill using a bank account that did not belong to him. Police charged Cintron with one count of access device fraud.
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Harassment – At approximately 10:23 a.m. June 15, police responded to the 1000 block of South Lincoln Avenue for a domestic dispute. Police charged Joselito Cruz-Maldonado, 22, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and one count of harassment.
DUI, Public Drunkenness – On March 21, police responded to the intersection of South 5th Avenue and Iona Road for a driving complaint. Police charged Jessica Camasta, 37, with DUI-incapable of safe driving and public drunkenness.
Homicide by Vehicle while Driving Under the Influence – At approximately 5:23 a.m. Feb. 18, police responded to the intersection of East Walnut and East Cumberland streets for a fatal vehicle crash. Police charged Rubin Montero, 21, with one count of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, one count of homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, one count of recklessly endangering another person, DUI-general impairment, one count of DUI-highest rate of alcohol (BAC of 0.16% or greater), DUI-controlled substances, DUI-drug and alcohol combination, reckless driving, and careless driving.
Back to School – As the summer vacation ends and school resumes, the South Lebanon Township Police Department would like to remind all drivers to be aware of stopped school buses and children crossing roads.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – At 12:58 p.m. Aug. 27, a crash occurred on Hinkle Road and East Market Street. A Ford utility truck driven by a 38-year-old Palmyra man struck a curb and a “No Parking” sign when the driver swerved to avoid an animal on the road. The Ford had to be towed from the scene due to wheel damage. No injuries were reported.
Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely, Expired Inspection – At 3:13 p.m. Aug. 26, police investigated a two-vehicle crash on the 2400 block of Horseshoe Pike. A 29-year-old Lebanon man was operating a motorcycle and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Washington Crossing man, accompanied by a 54-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, both of Washington Crossing. The Lebanon man’s motorcycle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Police charged the Lebanon man with following too closely and expired inspection.
Vehicle Accident – At 2:38 p.m. Aug. 18, police responded to the 00 block of Landings Drive for a single-vehicle crash. The driver, a 43-year-old Palmyra man, misjudged a turn as he was entering a parking lot in the area. The Palmyra man drove onto a landscape area filled with mulch and rocks, ultimately running into a boulder. No injuries were reported.
Vehicle Accident – At 2:26 a.m. Aug. 5, a Toyota Corolla driven by a 20-year-old Bethlehem man failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hinkle and South Forge roads. The Corolla was traveling on Hinkle Road and crossed South Forge Road into the path of a Toyota 4Runner driven by a 64-year-old Hershey woman. The 4Runner was traveling north on South Forge Road and had the right-of-way. The Bethlehem man’s vehicle was towed from the scene. The Hershey woman was able to drive her vehicle from the scene. No medical assistance was needed. The Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company assisted on the scene.
Swatara Township
Theft of Motor Vehicle – At 3:17 a.m. Aug. 24, a 17-year-old North Whitehall male stole a blue 2004 Chevrolet Malibu on Groy Avenue, crashed it, and fled the scene. The victim was a 58-year-old Lebanon man.
Union Township
DUI – At 1:28 a.m. Aug. 26, the arrestee, a 17-year-old Fredericksburg male, operated a 2014 Hyundai Elantra on Allentown Boulevard and Maple Lane while under the influence of a controlled substance.
Unspecified Township
DUI Checkpoint – PSP Jonestown will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Lebanon County over Labor Day weekend. The checkpoint location will be selected based on locations with a higher number of DUI violations/crashes.
