Bethel Township
Natural Death – At 8:50 a.m. Sept. 9, police responded to the 400 block of Chestnut Hill Road for a report of a natural death. Police determined that an 88-year-old Fredericksburg woman was found unresponsive in the living room of her residence by her brother, who called 911. The victim suffered from multiple health-related conditions. No signs of criminal activity were observed at the scene.
City of Lebanon
Burglary – Denny Zug, 44, has been identified as the person responsible for burglaries at two senior living facilities: Kreider Commons at 631 N. 8th St. and Willows Senior Apartments at 609 N. 12th St. Police charged Zug with one count of burglary, and he is a person of interest in two similar burglaries at Maple Terrace, 725 Maple St. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Lebanon city police.
Arrest Warrant – On Sept. 14, an arrest warrant was issued for Tyshaun Haynes, 31, with the original charge being failure to register – sex offender.
Arrest Warrant – On Sept. 14, an arrest warrant was issued for Luis Rosario-Rodriguez, 40, with the original charge being possession of a controlled substance.
Arrest Warrant – On Sept. 15, an arrest warrant was issued for Terrance Robinson, 33, with the original charge being endangering the welfare of children.
Palmyra Borough
Criminal Mischief, Harassment – On Aug. 19, police responded to the 300 block of West Main Street for a complaint of vandalism. Police observed substantial damage to a bedroom door in an apartment. Through video surveillance footage, police identified John Thomas, 38, as the person responsible for the damages. On Aug. 30, a criminal complaint was prepared and filed through MDJ Garver’s office, charging Thomas with criminal mischief and harassment.
Unlawful Dissemination of an Intimate Image – On Sept. 13, police charged Jovanny Alvarez-Torres, 24, with one count of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image through MDJ Garver’s office. Charges stem from an incident report on May 7 on the 100 block of East Cherry Street. Alvarez-Torres is accused of disseminating sexually explicit media of a female to another person without consent.
South Lebanon Township
Unsworn Falsification to Authorities – On Feb. 17, Dominick Lopez, 22, attempted to purchase a firearm at Shyda’s Outdoor Center, 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., without being legally authorized to do so. Police charged Lopez with one count of unsworn falsification to authorities.
Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief – At approximately 2:27 p.m. Sept. 7, police responded to the 3100 block of State Drive for a trespassing complaint. Police learned that Nicholas Jumpp, 26, was parked on the property without permission. Security personnel asked him to leave but Jumpp refused to do so and became combative. He entered his vehicle and intentionally rammed into the vehicle belonging to security personnel. Jumpp was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count each of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass, and two counts of accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property.
Unsworn Falsification to Authorities – On Aug. 17, Alex Millan, 24, attempted to purchase a firearm at Shyda’s Outdoor Center, 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., without being legally permitted to do so. Police charged Millan with one count of unsworn falsification to authorities.
Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot, Criminal Trespass – At approximately 4:50 p.m. Sept. 12, police responded to the 500 block of Fox Ridge Lane for a trespassing complaint. At the request of the property owners, police instructed Patrick Stein, 45, to leave the property and not return. At approximately 5:13 p.m., they learned Stein had returned and, when police made contact, he fled on foot. Stein was apprehended and was charged with one count of evading arrest or detention on foot and one count of criminal trespass.
Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Criminal Trespass – At approximately 10:11 a.m. Sept. 13, police responded to a possible burglary in progress on the 500 block of Foxchase Lane. Police observed Patrick Stein, 45, attempting to force the front door of the residence open and took him into custody. Police charged Stein with one count of criminal attempt to commit burglary, criminal attempt to commit criminal trespass, and criminal trespass.
Theft from Mailboxes – Over the last several days, South Lebanon Township Police received multiple reports of thefts of checks from mailboxes. Anyone with any information about these incidents is asked to contact police at 717-274-0482.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – At 8:54 p.m. Sept. 8, a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by a 37-year-old Palmyra man struck a stone landscaping wall and mailbox on the 2200 block of South Forge Road. The man said that the lights of an oncoming vehicle blinded him prior to striking the wall. The Dodge was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Campbelltown Fire assisted on the scene.
Vehicle Accident – At 8:34 a.m. Sept. 12, a crash occurred on the 600 block of South Lingle Avenue when a Toyota sedan driven by a 43-year-old Palmyra woman crashed into a Ford sedan driven by an 88-year-old Palmyra man. Son’s vehicle was exiting the Lingle Avenue Elementary School property when he proceeded without proper clearance. The Palmyra man’s vehicle had the right-of-way when the crash occurred.
Hit-and-Run Crash – A hit-and-run crash was reported at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 11 on the 4200 block of Harvest Road. The vehicle involved is believed to be a black Ford truck, either a Ranger or Ford F-150 between 1997-2003. The truck’s passenger’s side turn signal housing was found in the area. If anyone sees a vehicle matching this description with damage to the body of the vehicle and a missing turn signal lens housing unit, contact South Londonderry Township Police at 717-838-1376. The truck caused damage to personal property and a telephone pole.
