LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Barrett!
Barrett, according to Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel, is a male American bulldog. Although he’s about 3 1/2 years old, Mika says, he’s a goofy, 100-pound baby!
He is “very tall and strong with a big noggin,” she adds, and he “values a soft place to lie down..
A couch potato with “spurts of energy,” Barrett loves to play with his toys, is crate-trained and housebroken, and is food-motivated and “eager to please.” He’s friendly with dogs and cats provided proper introduction, Mika says, or he would be content as your one and only. Although he enjoys children, he doesn’t always recognize his own size — so older, dog-savvy children are best.
“His ideal household has strong/giant breed experience,” Mika says. Accordingly, Pitties.Love.Peace is “looking for a strong leader who will be firm with boundaries to keep him on track to being his very best.”
If you think Barrett could be a fit for your household, please visit www.pittieslovepeace.com to submit your online application.
