City of Lebanon

Drug possession – On Dec. 12, police charged Georgine Selby, 39, with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to the 500 block of North 9th Street to investigate a domestic incident.

DUI, driving while suspended – On Dec. 15, police charged Elizabeth Callace, 38, with misdemeanor DUI, summary driving while BAC is 0.02% or greater while license is suspended, and summary driving on roadways laned for traffic after she was involved in a crash on the 900 block of Lehman Street. Callace refused to give a blood sample when asked by the officer.

Furnishing drug-free urine – On Dec. 15, police charged Catherine Gaul, 36, with misdemeanor furnishing drug-free urine after she attempted to use drug-free urine for the purpose of evading or causing deceitful results during her meeting with Lebanon County Probation on the 500 block of Oak Street.

Firearms not to be carried without a license, drug possession – On Dec. 15, police charged Anthony Augustine, 20, with felony firearms not to be carried without a license, felony possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor loitering and prowling, misdemeanor tampering with/fabricating physical evidence, and summary defiant trespass after he was found in the rear yard of a property on the 400 block of New Street without the owner’s permission. Police also found a black bag in the yard, which Augustine admitted to owning and which contained various types of drugs and a loaded handgun.

PFA order violation – On Dec. 17, police charged Robert Boyer, 34, with violation of PFA order after he sent two Facebook messages to a female on the 600 block of Miller Street.

Drug possession – On Dec. 20, police charged Ezequiel Ortiz Ofarril, 23, with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana after police were called to the 1000 block of Reinoehl Street to investigate a domestic incident. Ortiz Ofarril was found to have a plastic bag in his pocket that contained marijuana.

Drug possession – On Dec. 8, police charged Beatrice McCain, 52, with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after she was found with a glass smoking device at Good Samaritan Hospital, 252 S. 4th St.

Megan’s Law violation – On Oct. 23, police charged Santos Rodriguez-Cruz, 30, with a felony Megan’s Law violation after he failed to verify his information within the required timeframe. This incident occurred on the 400 block of New Street.

Lebanon City hires three officers – Lebanon city police announce the hiring of three police officers: Mackenzie Battle, Logan Firestine, and Lawson Seyfert. They will begin the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy on Jan. 8 to receive their Act 120 training. The police academy is approximately 26 weeks long. Lebanon would like to thank the James Biever Community Alliance for their ongoing financial support that assists in sending candidates to the academy. Upon graduation in July, the officers will begin 18 weeks of field training in Lebanon. Lebanon will open the application process to hire additional officers this month. Heidelberg Township

DUI crash – At 2:08 a.m. Jan. 1, a man crashed a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado in the area of Distillery and Schaeffer roads while under the influence of alcohol. He was not named in the PSP release.

North Annville Township

Theft disposition of funds – At 1:32 p.m. Dec. 21, police are investigating a report of two counterfeit checks being cashed in the name of a 48-year-old Annville man in two states.

North Londonderry Township

Drug possession – Police charged Jodi Checket, 55, of Lebanon, with possession of a designer drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and driving with expired inspection. Checket was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana and related paraphernalia after her vehicle was stopped by police on the 1100 block of West Main Street at 11:51 a.m. March 29.

Retail thefts – North Londonderry Township police charged a 35-year-old Annville man with six counts of summary retail theft after he was observed on Walmart surveillance cameras committing thefts between September and November 2023. The loss to Walmart was $231.81.

Palmyra Borough

DUI – At 1 a.m. Nov. 3, police pulled over a vehicle driven by Sean Salisbury, 45, on the 00 block of East Main Street for a suspended registration and arrested Salisbury for DUI. Blood results came back weeks later, showing Salisbury’s blood alcohol content was 0.187% at the time of the stop, making the charge a misdemeanor DUI-highest rate.

Found property – Palmyra Borough police took possession of a drone on Dec. 31 that was found on a roof. Anyone who has recently lost a drone may come to the police department to claim it after successfully providing a detailed description. This may be done between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Robbery of motor vehicle, simple assault – At 4:50 p.m. Dec. 24, police responded to the 300 block of South Railroad Street for a report of a domestic dispute and determined that Evan Stewart, 19, assaulted his father and stole his 2013 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. The minivan was later recovered in South Londonderry Township, and Evan Stewart was apprehended in Jonestown by Pennsylvania State Police and taken to LCCB to await arraignment. Police charged him with robbery of motor vehicle and simple assault.

Found dog – A male husky (pictured below) was found on the night of Jan. 4 on the 00 block of North Harrison Street. If anyone recognizes the dog or knows the owner, please contact Palmyra Borough police at 717-838-8189.

South Lebanon Township

Unsworn falsification to authorities – On Oct. 5, 2022, Sidney Lehman, 69, attempted to buy a firearm at Dunham’s Sporting Goods, 829 E. Walnut St., while he was not legally permitted to do so. Police charged Lehman with misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities.

DUI – At approximately 7:25 p.m. Dec. 8, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1600 block of South 5th Avenue and determined that the driver, Christopher Schuler, 32, was under the influence of alcohol. Schuler’s BAC was 0.211% at the time. Police charged Schuler with misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving and misdemeanor DUI-highest rate of alcohol.

Unsworn falsification to authorities – On June 28, 2022, Jorge Rolon-Colon, 26, attempted to buy a firearm at Shyda’s Outdoor World, 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., while he was not legally permitted to do so. Police charged him with misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities.

Drug possession – On Dec. 28, police pulled over a vehicle on South 3rd Street and learned that the driver, Devin Carmel, 28, was in possession of marijuana without a medical card. Police charged Carmel with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana.

25 years of service – Congratulations to Officer Sean McCarrick for completing 25 years of service to the citizens of South Lebanon Township and Lebanon County. Well done, Officer McCarrick, from the South Lebanon Township Police Department.

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident – At 2:18 a.m. Dec. 17, a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old East Petersburg woman was heading west on Mount Gretna Road when the woman swerved to avoid a deer and struck a telephone pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Vehicle accident – At 11:15 a.m. Dec. 17, a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Palmyra woman proceeded through a stop sign at the intersection of Horseshoe Pike and South Forge Road without clearance and struck a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Blandon man. Neither driver was injured. The Blandon man’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Police charged the Palmyra woman with a stop sign violation.

Hit-and-run – At 7:39 p.m. Dec. 22, a 63-year-old Lebanon man reported being stopped at the traffic light on Horseshoe Pike, facing west, in the area of South Forge Road near Snitz Creek Brewery, when a car struck the rear of his vehicle. The Lebanon man pulled over, and the other vehicle fled the scene. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Officer Mack at 717-838-1376.

Vehicle accident – At 12:51 a.m. Jan. 1, police responded to the 500 block of Mount Gretna Road for a single-vehicle crash. A 39-year-old Palmyra woman reported that she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve on the wet road. Her vehicle was found in the tree line adjacent to the road. No injuries were reported. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. Police charged her with driving too fast for conditions.

Harassment – At 10:23 p.m. Dec. 11, police responded to the 200 block of Woodlawn Avenue for a report of harassment. A woman reported being physically harassed by her cousin, a 23-year-old Enola man, who was not on scene when police arrived. Police charged him with summary harassment for unwanted physical contact.

Swatara Township

Vehicle accident – At 12:07 p.m. Dec. 12, a black 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 driven by a 59-year-old Castlewood woman was traveling south on SR 72 in the area of Frogs Hollow Tavern. Traffic slowed on SR 72 due to turning vehicles, and the Mercedes-Benz was struck in the rear by a white 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 22-year-old Fredericksburg man. The Fredericksburg man was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. The Castlewood woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a possible injury but was not transported.
