Lebanon County Crisis Intervention Office opens new location by WellSpan hospital

The Lebanon County Crisis Intervention Office held an open house for its new Lebanon walk-in center on Thursday, Jan. 18.

The agency has relocated to 209 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, according to a press release. The former location was 229 S. 4th St.

The new office space is located across the street from WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital and offers a more accessible location for people with crisis-related health conditions or impairments and provides a larger care space, the release explained.

The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, along with remarks from Holly Leahy, administrator for Lebanon County MH/ID/EI; Lebanon County Commissioner Mike Kuhn; Lebanon city Mayor Sherry Capello; and Tracy Dugan, manager for crisis intervention at WellSpan Philhaven.

At Lebanon County Crisis Intervention, professionally trained counselors provide active listening, assessments, counseling, referrals, outreach, and other services to individuals who are experiencing an emotional crisis or difficulty in coping with a personal concern, the press release noted. The agency “ensures voluntary patients in need of crisis-related services, but do not otherwise need medical treatment, have a care option to address their needs,” the release states.

Lebanon County Crisis Intervention is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and responds 24/7 to crisis calls. The office can be reached by calling (717) 274-3363.
