Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf announced the arrest of Jason Shirk, a 34-year-old Lebanon man, on Friday, Feb. 9, over charges related to the sexual assault of three young children.
According to a news release, the Lebanon County Detective Bureau began investigating the assault of two juvenile females in 2022, with a third victim later coming forward.
The DA’s office said that all three juvenile victims shared statements with police and independent interviewers alleging that the sexual assaults occurred multiple times to each victim while they were at their own homes.
According to the release, Shirk was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 6. He now faces seven felony charges and one misdemeanor charge, including charges of rape of child, rape threat of forcible compulsion, and multiple counts of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.
Shirk is currently in custody at Lebanon County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, which was set at $250,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15.
“The defendant faces serious charges for violating and sexually assaulting multiple children,” said Hess Graf in a statement.
She added that there is suspicion additional victims may exist. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Lebanon County Detective Bureau through the DA’s office by calling 717-228-4403.
“Our office will prosecute this defendant and seek all penalties and consequences available under the law,” said Hess Graf.
