The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced on March 12 that a contractor will be replacing a railroad crossing on 16th Street (Route 4001) in West Lebanon Township later this month.

The railroad crossing is located on the Lebanon city line between Willow and Lehman streets. Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, March 26, and be completed by Thursday, March 28, PennDOT said in a release. A detour will be in place during the closure.

Motorists traveling south should take Lehman Street to Route 72 South (10th Street) to Route 422 to 16th Street. Those traveling north should take Route 422 to 12th Street to Walnut Street to Route 72 North (9th Street) to Lehman Street to 16th Street.
