Lebanon city police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Wednesday evening in Lebanon.
In a news release Friday, police said they were dispatched to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, for a gunshot victim. At the hospital, police found 24-year-old Hector Pomales-Torres, who had been struck with a single bullet.
Pomales-Torres died at the hospital while being treated for his injuries, the release said.
Police said Pomales-Torres was inside his home on the 700 block of Lehman Street prior to the shooting. According to the report, other occupants inside the home were handling a firearm, which discharged and struck Pomales-Torres.
The investigation is ongoing.
