Work will start Monday, July 15, on a new traffic signal and dedicated turn lanes at the intersection of Isabel Drive and Quentin Road/State Route 72.
Plans for the project were first released in 2024. Work on the $1.26 million project is expected to be completed by PennDOT contractor JVI Group Inc. by Oct. 25.
As part of the project, PennDOT contractor JVI Group Inc. will install a new traffic signal, ADA crossing ramps, and updated drainage at the intersection.
State Route 72 will stay open throughout construction, with a two-week detour planned for Isabel Drive at some point during the project. Access to businesses in the area will be maintained throughout the work.
The planned improvements at Isabel Drive and the ongoing work at Wilhelm Avenue and Cornwall Road are the final improvements identified by a master traffic study conducted as part of North Cornwall Commons, according to previous LebTown coverage.
