LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week is sometimes available for adoption through a local shelter. Other times the weekly column will spotlight a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home.
This week, meet Rocky Mountain McAteer!
“Rocky,” as he’s known to his friends, is a 10-month-old yellow Labrador retriever born in Lebanon County. “He is named for one of his family’s favorite National Park Service locales, Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado,” owner Robert McAteer explains.
Rocky enjoys tormenting his half-brother Gunny (who was featured in a previous Pet of the Week column). “He also enjoys playing in the yard, scratches behind the ears and climbing up on things,” Robert says. “He is full of energy and strives to ensure that his family doesn’t sleep past the crack of dawn so that there’s more time to play with him.”
Congratulations to Rocky for being this week’s LebTown Pet of the Week!
