The Fisher Avenue exit off Interstate 81 will be closed overnight this week while the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation mills and paves the ramps.
The work on Exit 90, which began Monday night, will run from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the end of the week. Only one ramp will be closed at a time, PennDOT said in a release, and detour signs will be in place.
The project also consists of base repair, milling and overlay, guide rail replacement, minor drainage, and other miscellaneous construction on Fisher Avenue from Marsanna Lane to Route 72, as well as on portions of Route 72 and Lickdale Road, PennDOT said.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Inc. of New Enterprise is the contractor on the $2,294,134 project. All work is expected to be completed by Sept. 16.
