Welcome to the inaugural season of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Hoagie Wars. Four entrants from the Valley will compete to be declared the winner of Best Hoagie in The Valley.

Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality, composition, taste, and overall impression. We will only be judging one hoagie from each.

We kickoff our first season on the east side of Lebanon at Biaggio’s Premium Italian Hoagies. They are located along East Cumberland Street near 11th Ave.

This stand-alone hoagie shop offers 15 different hoagie options on its menu, ranging from $9.50 to $10.

Our selection for judgement today was the spicy Italian ($9.50) with LTO, oil & seasoning and mayo on a soft roll. This hoagie comes with hot capicola, cotechino, hot soppressata, and aged provolone.

This hoagie is a simple assembly and not overloaded on the meats. The choice of the diced tomatoes is different but left quite a bit dropping out onto the wrapper. Each bite got an even taste of all the flavors which was enjoyable for this critic. The spices on top gave this hoagie an extra flavor burst.

Did we just have the best hoagie in the Valley?

Next up we will travel to our other entrants: Dinunzio’s, Hauz ‘O Hoagies, and Rocco’s. After which, we will announce our winner.
