Much needed rain is starting to develop.

Despite dew points increasing, cloudy skies will continue to keep temps in check. As we continue to press into the afternoon and evening hours, wide spread rain and thunderstorms will develop. Currently I think many locations may cash in on a half inch to as much as 1.5 inches depending on where intense banding sets up.

Saturday and Sunday, the heat returns as mid to upper 80s will be the theme Saturday with lower 90s come Sunday. The weekend looks to remain dry, despite dew points returning to sticky mode.
