Bon appétit!

Welcome to the inaugural season of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Hoagie Wars. Four entrants from the Valley will compete to be declared the winner of Best Hoagie in The Valley.

Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality, composition, taste, and overall impression. We will only be judging one hoagie from each.

We conclude the first season down in the village of Campbelltown at Hauz ‘O Hoagies. They are located along Route 322 with a small dining area for dining in as well as take out service.

This hoagie shop offers 20 different hoagie options on its menu, ranging from $12.25 to $15.99.

Our selection for judgement today was the Butcher ($13.25) with LTO, their own hoagie dressing of oil & seasoning and mayo on a soft roll and top with salt, pepper and oregano. This hoagie comes with pepperoni, ham, capicola, and mild provolone cheese.

This hoagie is one for the onion lovers. Composed with cheese, meat and then veggies on top, it looks like this could get messy. But as we ate, the hoagie stayed together and had no droppings on the wrap paper. The hoagie dressing adds a next level flavor with its robust zest, but it almost hides the flavors of the meats.

Did we just have the best hoagie in the Valley?

We have had all our hoagies for this season. We will now digest and announce a winner early next week. Who do you think is the winner?
