Mount Gretna style and architecture will be on display for the annual walking tour of the community’s iconic homes.

The self-guided tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, and features 10 homes in the scenic Mount Gretna community.

“You will see everything from tiny weekend getaway cottages to modern year-round homes,” according to a press release from Mika Cook Rymshaw, community development specialist for Gretna Music.

“Featured on the tour this year are Campmeeting and Chautauqua homes built as early as the late 1800s through the 1930s,” the release says. “Some of the houses overlook the beautiful Conewago Lake while others can hear the sounds of live music from Gretna’s two music venues, the Tabernacle and Mount Gretna Playhouse. Each home has its unique charm!”

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the tour, and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available by calling Gretna Music at 717-361-1508, ordering online at gretnamusic.org, or in person at the Mount Gretna Visitor Information Center and all Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill locations. On the day of the tour, tickets will be sold outside the Mount Gretna Post Office on Princeton Avenue and in front of the Mount Gretna Playhouse at 200 Pennsylvania Ave.

Proceeds benefit Gretna Music.
