Update: In an email to LebTown Sunday evening, Aug. 19, PSP said that the boy has been located.

Pennsylvania State Police said in a press release Thursday, Aug. 15, that they are looking for a reported 11-year-old runaway Myerstown boy.

Troopers were called to a house on the 200 block of East Main Street at approximately 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to the release. There, troopers discovered that Ace Snook, 11, had left the residence without shoes, money, or his cellphone.

PSP said the boy had been living there with his grandmother for the past two weeks.

Troopers conducted an extensive canvass of the area, with assistance by other patrol units, as well as aviation, K-9, and an emergency response drone, but the canvass turned up negative results.

PSP said that a K-9 unit alerted in the area of South Cherry Street and Madison Alley but ultimately yielded negative contact, and that the boy was most likely picked up by a friend or relative.

Snook has been entered into the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) databases as missing/runaway.

Anyone with information on Snook’s whereabouts should contact PSP Jonestown by calling 717-865-2194.
