LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.

This week, meet adoptable Merlot!

According to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, Merlot is a husky mix, weighing 47 pounds and estimated to be around 3 years old.

“She found her way to us as a stray and was never reclaimed,” a shelter rep says. “Merlot is a friendly girl that likes everyone she meets!”

Not only is she sociable, but she also “enjoys going for walks, and loves treats! She also sits on command for them when asked! Merlot walks well on a leash, too,” the rep adds. “She would do well with dog-savvy kiddos. Canine siblings would depend upon a meet and greet.”

If you are interested in adopting Merlot, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
