Palmyra’s Great Give, the sixth-annual 24-hour online giving day, is set for Thursday, September 19, 2024, from midnight to midnight. This special event unites 18 local nonprofits serving Palmyra, Annville, Lebanon, Hershey, and Hummelstown, with the goal of building stronger communities through collective generosity.

Missy Patrick, organizer of Palmyra’s Great Give, is excited about this year’s campaign.

We’re bringing the community together for a greater cause. Supporting our local nonprofits directly strengthens the heartbeat of our community.

New this year, we’ll be hosting Facebook Live events throughout the day, highlighting participating nonprofits and sponsors!

Additionally, Texas Roadhouse in Palmyra is partnering with Palmyra’s Great Give by hosting a Dine to Donate event from 3-9 p.m. on September 19th. When diners show or bring in the flyer found on our Facebook page, Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of their food total to Palmyra’s Great Give. A randomly selected nonprofit will win the entire evening’s proceeds!

Pre-giving opens September 12th, but the main event happens on September 19th, when supporters can donate by visiting Palmyra.Gives. With a minimum donation of just $10, every contribution counts, and match minutes and prize challenges can amplify donations.

Since launching in 2019, Palmyra’s Great Give has raised over $200,000 for local nonprofits, with $46,836 raised last year. Initially part of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church’s Community Day, the event shifted to an entirely online format during the pandemic but continues to grow each year.

“Our goal is to keep building awareness and engagement. With local businesses like Texas Roadhouse getting involved, and the community coming together, we hope to eventually return to hosting a community day in addition to the giving day,” said Patrick.

Join the movement and support your favorite local nonprofits. Visit Palmyra.Gives and make your donation by 11:59 PM on September 19th.
