PennDOT announced Monday evening that the 14-day closure of Isabel Drive at the intersection of Route 72 is expected to be lifted on schedule Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24.

A contractor will also perform emergency base repairs on Route 72/Quentin Road in the area of Isabel Drive and Tuck Street.

A base repair is a fix to the foundational layer of the road. By fixing detoriorated or damaged subbase, chronic pavement issues can be prevented.

While these repairs are ongoing, motorists should expect traffic shifts and minor delays.

All work on the $1.26 million project is expected to be completed by Oct. 25.

The new traffic signal and dedicated turn lanes at the Route 72 intersection with Isabel Drive are among the final improvements identified by a master traffic study conducted as part of North Cornwall Commons, according to previous LebTown coverage.
