LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Stewart!
Stewart is a Labrador retriever mix that is estimated to be between 7 and 10 years old. He found his way to the Humane Society of Lebanon County as a stray and was never reclaimed.
He “is such a sweet and friendly boy,” a shelter rep tells LebTown. “He is a very gentle fella and is an easy-going dog.”
At his age, Stewart isn’t looking for an overly active family. According to the Humane Society, he “would be content with a casual walk, and also being your couch potato companion. This gentle man loves laying in his doggy bed with comforters on top, and he is truly a snuggle bug. He loves treats, enjoys human affection, and gives kisses to his human friends. He is a lovable and simple man.”
Stewart is “definitely housebroken and waits to potty until he is walked,” the shelter notes. “He would do well with dog-savvy kiddos. Canine siblings would depend upon a meet and greet.”
If you are interested in adopting Stewart, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
