The North Cornwall Township Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to adopt the balanced draft 2025 budget at its meeting Tuesday.

The board also unanimously passed motions keeping tax rates at the same level as 2024 and appropriating funds for 2025. Both of these motions are routine, chairman Mike Wahmann said.

Supervisors also heard that the Dairy Road Pump Station is in need of several parts replacements and unanimously agreed to dispense around $30,000 to fix it. The parts totaled $11,168.70.

Township manager Justin Thompson noted that even though a new pump station has been commissioned, repairs to the existing facility are still necessary.

“Unfortunately, it’s a bad timing, but we will try to sell it on MuniciBid to recoup some of the funds,” said Thompson.

Wahmann said that he would rather spend the funds than risk fines or station malfunction not repairing it.

“I’d rather spend the money and ensure we don’t get any environmental fines,” he said.
