The Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation has announced more than a dozen micro-grant awards in the first round of a new designed to support local small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
For a small business or nonprofit to be eligible, it must operate within Lebanon County with a maximum of 25 full-time employees (with two part-time employees considered the equivalent to one full-timer).

“This initiative drew an incredible response, with 40 applications submitted, requesting over $109,000 in funding,” the foundation said in a release.
The foundation’s board of directors “carefully reviewed and scored each application to determine the recipients,” the release said, in order to determine how to distribute $40,000 in available funding.
The following organizations were selected to receive grants of up to $3,000 each, according to the announcement:
- Annville Inn Bed & Breakfast
- Assurance Screening and Solutions LLC
- Developmental & Disability Services of Lebanon Valley
- Drunken Smithy LLC
- Eagle Secure Solutions LLC
- Essentially Haitos LLC
- Jose J Ceballos Home Provider LLC
- Panaderia y Reposteria Ceballos LLC
- Pennsylvania Chautauqua
- Potential Reentry Opportunities in Business and Education
- Pourable Arts by Goldie P
- South China Buffet Inc.
- Susan Dowhower Personal Care Home LLC
- The Caring Cupboard Inc.
According to a previous report, the foundation intends to distribute funds on Thursday, Jan. 2.
The grants can be used to support projects in four key areas: professional development, paid internships, business improvements, and technology upgrades, according to the foundation release. Applications were evaluated based on their potential economic impact on the community, the significance of the proposed project to the applicant’s business, and other factors.
“The Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation is honored to support these outstanding organizations and looks forward to seeing the positive impact of these grants on the community,” the release said.
The Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation is an organization focused “on generating, receiving, administering, and distributing funds to support programs and/or initiatives that enhance the economic development, business, and workforce development goals of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce,” according to the release. The Chamber of Commerce is based at 989 Quentin Road, Lebanon.
