LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week is sometimes available for adoption through a local shelter. Other times the weekly column will spotlight a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home.
This week, meet Princess and Mocha!
Princess and Mocha are a pair of America Guinea pigs, each less than a year old. According to owners Erika and Torvi Bishop of Newmanstown, “they are very sweet, calm and loving friends.”
“Our guinea pigs are very friendly and love their daily vegetables and munching on grass,” the girls said in an email to LebTown. “They get unlimited piles of orchard grass to eat everyday in their cage, and in the summer they like to eat dandelion and rose petals nonstop.”
In fact, the Bishops said, their cavies will always make a distinctive “wheek” (like a high-pitched scream) when excited, particularly when they hear the refrigerator door open “because they know they’re getting vegetables.”
Congratulations to Princess and Mocha for being this week’s LebTown Pet(s) of the Week!
