LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week is sometimes available for adoption through a local shelter. Other times the weekly column will spotlight a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home.
This week, meet Messiah and Munchkin!
Messiah is a shorthair ginger cat, and Munchkin is a medium hair domestic black cat, says owner Kerri Keim.
“I have two sweet babies,” Kerri tells LebTown. “They are both just so adorable and loving.”
Each has his own backstory.
“Messiah is just the most loving and affectionate kittie I have ever had,” Kerri writes. “He climbs into my arms, turns upside down, and lays in my arms like an infant so I can rock him to sleep. He also puts both his paws around my neck as if to hug me. He always wants kisses, too.”

Kerri says she rescued Messiah when he was left alone without his mother. “I had to bottle feed him for a bit,” she says. “He is now about 4 years old and I don’t know what I’d do without him.”
Kerri claimed Munchkin when he was 2, after a friend’s neighbor “moved and just threw him out.”

“His face got pretty torn up by other cats outside,” she says. “He’s very affectionate and loves to have his neck and chin scratched. … He also loves to give high fives.”
Congratulations to Messiah and Munchkin for being this week’s LebTown Pets of the Week!
