The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Lebanon County will hold their next plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 3, in the Brightbill Barn at the Lebanon Expo Center, 80 Rocherty Road, Lebanon.
The theme this year is “Right Plant, Right Place, Right Practice.” The sale offers a variety of plants and gardening essentials to help local gardeners create a thriving garden.
This year’s sale will feature a wide selection of annuals, vegetables, perennials, tomatoes, peppers, native plants, and herbs to accommodate gardeners of all skill levels. Experts will be on hand to offer tips on plants that thrive in the Lebanon County climate and how to make them flourish in available spaces.
Special features of the event include:
- Green elephant section: A special area with gently used gardening items, tools, and plants.
- Expert gardening advice from certified Master Gardeners to help patrons select the right plants and how to care for them.
- A variety of plants that are suitable for all types of gardens, from sunny spots to shaded corners, and from small urban plots to larger landscapes.
The theme of “Right Plant, Right Place, Right Practice” emphasizes the importance of choosing plants that are suited to each garden’s environment and using sustainable practices to support a healthy, beautiful garden.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Penn State Extension Master Gardener Program, which provides valuable educational resources and community outreach initiatives throughout Lebanon County. Cash, check, and credit card payments are accepted.
