Annubis Productions is proud to announce the premiere of their latest documentary, “This Is Why I Believe,” a compelling film featuring short interviews with 25 individuals exploring the deeply personal reasons behind their faith in God.

The premiere will take place on May 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Allen Theatre, located at 36 E Main St, Annville, PA 17003. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 each.

“This Is Why I Believe” was inspired by a simple yet profound question posed during a church sermon: “Why do you believe in Jesus?” This question ignited a personal quest to understand the foundation of faith in contemporary America. A 2023 Gallup poll revealed that only 47% of Americans hold absolute certainty in their belief in God, a statistic that underscores the importance of exploring and sharing stories of faith.

“Why do people believe in God?,” asks Erik Soulliard, the film’s director. “And, if we could share their stories, perhaps we could inspire others to rediscover faith.”

This documentary features raw and honest interviews, revealing the diverse and powerful reasons behind belief. These interviews have already resonated with audiences online, demonstrating a genuine desire to understand and connect with the personal journeys of faith.

“In an age of fleeting content, we’ve created a film that delves deeper,” states Soulliard. “These stories are too powerful to be diluted. We believe they deserve to be shared in their authentic form with no supplementary footage.”

This feature-length documentary doesn’t just contain personal stories, it also incorporates interviews with theologians and psychologists to provide a comprehensive understanding of the universal human experience of faith.
