City of Lebanon
Discharge of firearm into occupied structure – Around 12:30 a.m. June 27, police responded to the 400 block of Lehman Street for a report of gunshots. Police located several bullet casings and found that a residence on that block was struck by gunfire. Although the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, detectives Ayala and Margut identified the gunman as Bryant Pagan-Rodriguez, 20, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on July 18. On July 23, with the assistance of the Lebanon County Adult Probation/Parole, Pagan-Rodriguez was located and arrested. Police charged him with discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person, propulsion of a missile onto a roadway, and possession of an instrument of crime.
Driving while suspended – On July 19, police charged Beth Stamm, 43, with driving while suspended (DUI-related) and required financial responsibility after a traffic stop on the 00 block of North 10th Street.
DUI – On July 21, police charged Maria Nunez, 54, with DUI-alcohol, period for required head lamps, and operation of a vehicle without inspection after a traffic stop on the 100 block of South 10th Street.
Arrest warrant – On July 21, police issued an arrest warrant for Josel Febres-Santiago, 48, with the original charges being burglary, terroristic threats, simple assault, and criminal mischief.
East Hanover Township
Fatal accident – A 35-year-old Schuylkill Haven man was killed in a two-car crash Wednesday, July 23, at the intersection of Coon Creek Road and state Route 22. According to police, a 2010 Honda Fit driven by a 67-year-old Palmyra man was traveling south on Coon Creek Road at 4:32 p.m. and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Route 22. The driver checked both directions and proceeded through the intersection, police said, and the Honda was struck by an eastbound 2009 Saab 93 driven by the Schuylkill Haven man, who sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Lebanon County coroner. The Palmyra man sustained a suspected minor injury and was transported by Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by H&S Towing. Fire and EMS assisted on the scene. Route 22 was closed for about five hours.
Jackson Township
Theft of motor vehicle – At 2 a.m. June 27, police responded to Brubaker Auto for a stolen black 2021 Toyota Sienna.
Vehicle accident – At 8:20 p.m. July 14, a 2007 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 17-year-old Myerstown female was traveling east on Route 422 and attempted turn left onto Route 645 through a solid green traffic signal. A 2006 Ford Econoline E350 driven by a 44-year-old Lebanon man, accompanied by a 54-year-old Lebanon woman, was traveling west on Route 422 through a solid green traffic signal. The Hyundai failed to yield to the Ford, which struck and pushed the Hyundai into a traffic signal pole. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. The passenger in the Ford was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit. The Hyundai was towed by CJ Wagner’s Towing. The Ford was towed by RJ Sells.
Vehicle accident – At 2:29 p.m. July 18, a 2017 Jeep Compass driven by a 27-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling north on North College Street and struck a 2007 Ford Focus driven by a 19-year-old Schaefferstown man that was crossing over into a driveway along East Rosebud Street. Yaw marks from the Ford and skid marks from the Jeep indicated that the Jeep was traveling over the posted speed limit. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Both vehicles were towed by Zimmeys Automotive. Police charged the woman with driving vehicle at a safe speed. Myerstown EMS and Keystone Hook and Ladder assisted on the scene.
Jonestown Borough
Vehicle accident – At 7:18 p.m. June 7, a 2021 SSR Motorsports SR 125 driven by a 41-year-old Jonestown man was traveling south on Broad Street when the driver lost control of the dirt bike and crashed into a 2016 Nissan Rogue parked on the right side of the road. The man was not wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries to his head and right leg, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. Both vehicles sustained damage.
North Londonderry Township
Public drunkenness – At 12:50 a.m. July 20, police charged a 21-year-old Annville woman after an incident in the parking lot of Flagship Cinema.
South Lebanon Township
Drug possession – Around 12:21 a.m. April 11, police pulled over a vehicle along King Street and learned that the driver, Shalimar Pellot-Bedillo, 29, was in possession of an illegal substance. Police charged Pellot-Bedillo with misdemeanor possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance (a heroin, fentanyl, and ketamine mixture), misdemeanor possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, summary driving while suspended, and summary general lighting requirements. A passenger, Amanda Moyer, 38, was also in possession of a controlled substance and, upon receipt of crime lab results, police charged Moyer with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug possession, driving without a license – Around 2:21 a.m. May 19, police pulled over a vehicle on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street and learned that the driver, David Whitman, 49, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Whitman with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, and summary driving without a license.
DUI – Around 8:06 p.m. May 19, police responded to the 900 block of East Evergreen Road for a crash and learned that the driver, Canyon Koch, 27, was under the influence of alcohol and illegal narcotics. Koch’s BAC was 0.115 percent at the time of the crash. Police charged Koch with misdemeanor DUI-highest rate of alcohol, misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance (methamphetamine), and misdemeanor ignition interlock.
DUI – Around 10 p.m. June 11, police pulled over a vehicle along King Street and learned that the driver, Jose Ortiz, 36, was under the influence of alcohol. Ortiz’s BAC was 0.167 percent at the time of the stop. Police charged Ortiz with misdemeanor DUI-alcohol.
Drug possession – On June 26, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1300 block of King Street and learned that a passenger, Kyle Thomas, 28, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Thomas with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
Drug possession, restrictions on alcoholic beverages – Around 6:12 p.m. July 13, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Walnut Street and learned that the driver, Luke Saul, 21, was in possession of an open container of alcoholic beverages and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Saul with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, summary restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and summary driving while suspended.
Burglary, false imprisonment – Around 6:36 p.m. July 15, police responded to the 2000 block of South Lincoln Avenue for a disturbance and learned that Roy Craig Jr., 56, entered a residence without permission and waited for the resident to return home. Craig later held the resident inside the home until fleeing on foot when he learned that a neighbor had called the police. Craig was later apprehended and charged with felony burglary, felony false imprisonment, felony criminal trespass, misdemeanor simple assault, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug possession – Around 6:55 a.m. July 17, police pulled over a vehicle along South 5th Avenue and learned that the driver, Vanessa Wolgemuth, 30, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Wolgemuth with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, misdemeanor possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, and summary following too closely.
Union Township
Vehicle accident – At 2:51 p.m. July 19, a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina driven by a 27-year-old Hermitage man was traveling south on Route 1001 when the man lost control, hit a grass embankment, and rolled over a number of times. The man was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via Williamstown EMS to Hershey Medical Center. The Chevrolet was towed by Whelskis Towing. Police charged the man with driving vehicle at a safe speed.
Harassment – At 4:30 p.m. July 24, police responded to the 100 block of Hemlock Hill Lane. During the investigation, a 67-year-old Jonestown woman advised that her left arm was held by a 35-year-old Jonestown man during an argument. A non-traffic citation for harassment was filed against the man.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Theft, resisting arrest – At 11 p.m. July 21, police received a report of a stolen cellphone on the 400 block of East High Street in Palmyra. The suspect fled on foot, but officers quickly located the suspect on the 900 block of East Main Street and identified him as David Marquez, 23. Police found Marquez in possession of the phone and transported him to LCCB on a parole violation detainer. Separate charges of misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor receiving stolen property, misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor evading arrest or detention on foot were filed.
