Four Lebanon County legislators will recognize local veterans with a complimentary breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Campbelltown Fire Hall, 818 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra.
State Sen. Chris Gebhard (R-48) and Reps. Russ Diamond (R-102), Tom Jones (R-98), and John Schlegel (R-101) are hosting the event to honor military veterans from throughout the county.
“Our veterans and their families sacrificed so much in order to protect our shores and our freedoms,” Gebhard said. “While we will be forever indebted to them, this breakfast is our way of showing appreciation for their service to our communities and our great nation.”
Pennsylvania is home to approximately 800,000 veterans, according to Diamond, who noted their contributions to local communities.
“We are so fortunate to count them among our friends and neighbors, as they make our communities stronger, safer and more prosperous,” Diamond said.
Jones said he looks forward to hearing veterans share their experiences.
“I always enjoy hearing the personal stories of their courage and service to our nation,” Jones said.
