You can count on Community Homes of Lebanon County for consistency in their mission to stay involved in the safety and security of the lives of the residents of the 300 apartments they manage in Lebanon County.

Here is a recent example – Lebanon City Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Campbell was invited to meet with Community Homes  CEO Charlie Rush and key staff members to make sure all are on the same page in case of the occurrence of fire-related problems with individual apartments as well as the possibility of biding wide evacuations.

A comprehensive Evacuation Plan has been prepared for each building covering any possible problem and what action should be taken to assure resident safety. A comprehensive binder has been prepared and made accessible to all who are responsible for following all “safety first” guidelines.

Education on all aspects of the plan is very important.

“Practice makes perfect,” said Charle Rush. “We will have fire drills scheduled, so if there is a real emergency, we can all remain calm and orderly during an emergency.”

A checklist has been prepared, covering topics like smoke alarms, evacuation plans, aid for disabled residents, stairwell accessibility, fire escape plans, accessibility, and master keys for fire department personnel – anything related to building and resident safety.
