We got a chance to stop by the opening of one of the newest pizza shops in the Valley.

Situated in a newly remodeled store front in the Cleona Shopping Center along U.S. Route 422 is Sarracino Pizzeria. They have several tables for dining in after ordering at the counter.

Tonight, we got the Sticky Roni pizza ($13.99), a 12” pie with cheese, pepperoni, ricotta, and hot honey. We also had to try a sub, so we chose the Paisan ($11.99) with ham, salami, capocollo, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar, and mayo.

The pizza looked beautiful and tasted even better. The flavor combination was delightful. I must say, honey might be my new favorite topping on a pizza, second only to pineapples.

Our sub was highlighted by the flavor of the oil & vinegar and the fresh bread. It was hard not to dig into it while waiting for our pizza. It’s a well assembled sandwich with a flavor to satisfy your cold-cut craving.

Our take: The pizzas are all 12” and they create a nice specialty pie. They are starting off on the right foot, and it won’t be long until they have a loyal following. Our meal this night made us want to come back and try some of their sides and pasta dishes. We encountered a delay with our food being ready, but the staff was attentive and rectified the situation.

We give this place 🥓🥓🥓🥓.
