Palmyra Public Library and Bindnagle Lutheran Church will open the historic, Georgian-style church and grounds for tours on two days in May.

Tours will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9. The church is at 801 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra.

Bindnagle Lutheran Church was built in 1803 to replace an earlier log structure. The congregation is one of the oldest in the region and was founded when German immigrants moved into the area.

Tours will also feature the cemetery, which has graves dating to 1774 and includes the gravesites of several Revolutionary War soldiers. An optional online scavenger hunt will also be available.

For more information, visit the library’s website or call the library at 717-838-1347.
