Blue Eyed Six Tour at Lebanon Farmers Market

Journey through history and experience the original jail structure that housed the Blue Eyed Six after the world-famous local murder. Tours are by appointment only. Must call ahead to book. Call 717-274-3663.

The long and varied history of this location precedes even the construction of the Market House in 1892. This was the site of the former Lebanon County Jail, which will forever be connected with the story of the Blue Eyed Six.

In the 1870s, the small town of Lebanon made national news with the infamous murder case of the Blue Eyed Six. This famous trial lasted for nearly six months and ended with the courtyard hanging of five of the Blue Eyed Six on this very property. A fire destroyed the structure just a few years later.

Northern Lebanon Mini-THON participates in year-long fundraising efforts and donates all proceeds to Four Diamonds. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 to help families battling pediatric cancer. All proceeds from our event go to Four Diamonds, directly benefiting children fighting pediatric cancer at the Hershey Medical Center. This event is cash only.

Copper Dragon Workshop – Mother Dragon Lotus Flower at Drunken Smithy

Smithing isn’t all iron and steel. At Drunken Smithy, we work with soft metals, too! Join us for an introduction to the art of metalworking by creating your own everlasting bloom in our flower crafting workshop, featuring a different flower every month. You’ll learn to design, cut, texture, and build your own copper flower with the freedom to customize your work along the way.

For this workshop, students will work with copper and learn to make one Mother Dragon Lotus Flower. The mother dragon has a lotus flower on her back, inside of which rests her baby dragon.

The workshop will take place regardless of the number of spots sold. No minimum number of participants is required. All raw materials, tools, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided. All experience levels are welcome. Instructors will help as much or as little as you’d like. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes or boots.

Please be aware that the total cost for this specific Forever Flowers workshop is $125.00 per person: the deposits paid when booking your reservation will come off of that total cost, and you will need to pay the remaining balance when you arrive for the workshop. When you pay the remaining balance, we impose a surcharge of 2.3% on the transaction amount for all credit, PayPal, and Venmo payment methods. The Youth Chorus of the Lebanon County Choral Society will present its spring concert on Friday, May 1, at 6 p.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The Youth Chorus will be joined by special guest musicians and led by acting director Gretchen Patti.

This event is part of the First Friday Art Walk, sponsored by the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts, and the St. Luke’s Friends of Music concert series.

The Youth Chorus is supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, which is overseen in this region by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. Additional support is provided by The Presser Foundation.

Attendees are invited to stay after the concert for tours of the church, light refreshments, and a book reading by a local children’s book author.

‘Heidi’s Tale of Love’ Book Event at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Lebanon

Together for Tomorrow 5K at Cedar Complex Stadium

A Death Café is not grief counseling or a support group — it’s a relaxed, guided discussion where people come together over coffee to explore topics around mortality, meaning, and what it means to live a vibrant life. The goal isn’t to reach conclusions, but to share, listen, and connect through honest dialogue.

Death Café will be facilitated by Virginia Bonifant, M.A., NBC-HWC Candidate.

Virginia is a certified Health and Wellness Coach (Georgetown University, NBHWC-approved) with a background in Clinical Psychology and End-of-Life Doula training. As the founder of Your Vibrant Life LLC, she helps people make sustainable habit changes to live fully and authentically. Her facilitation style is compassionate, grounded, and honors the full spectrum of human experience — from vulnerability to vitality.

Lebanon County Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale at Lebanon Expo Center

This is a plant sale hosted by the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Lebanon County, featuring a wide variety of garden plants and gardening-focused items for sale. The proceeds will support the Master Gardener program’s local education and community outreach.

Mental Health Awareness Festival at Poplar Commons

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Join us as we celebrate the fourth annual Lebanon County Mental Health Awareness Festival on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parking lot of 718 Poplar St., Lebanon. The event is free to attend and is open to all community members.

Connect to local services, and explore many resources with over 50 mental health and wellness vendors expected to participate. The event will also include baby goat and baby kangaroo cuddles, a snow cone wheel, free caricature drawings, and a live broadcast from Froggy 101 radio station. Vendors will have a variety of activities and giveaways. Each attendee will also receive a free hot dog, a bag of chips, and a drink provided by the Salvation Army, and the first 100 attendees will also receive a free drawstring bag!

Union Canal Day at Union Canal Tunnel Park

This festive event coordinated by the Friends of Union Canal Tunnel Park is a wonderful opportunity to shake off the winter blues while learning more about this hidden gem in Lebanon County.

There will be food trucks, vendors, and free entertainment. There will also be affordable games for kids, a basket raffle for adults, and fully narrated tours through the tunnel to keep the whole family entertained.

This event will be held rain or shine.

Suicide Loss Support Group at Compeer Office

The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force, in partnership with Empower the Mind and Compeer, hosts a free Suicide Loss Support Group each month. The event is held on the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Compeer Office at 519 Chestnut St., Lebanon. This group offers a safe space for healing and is open to anyone 14 years or older.

Suicide loss is a different type of grief that can be isolating and confusing. You are not alone. Join us to be heard and understood.

Colonial Craft and Encampment Day at Conrad Weiser Homestead

Free | 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, May 31 | 30 Weiser Ln., Womelsdorf

Visitors will have the opportunity to see numerous 18th-century craft demonstrators from a cordswainer to weaving. Learn about the historical context, materials, and equipment of the mid- to late-18th century. This year, we will have over 30 people demonstrating 18th-century trades. This program is available anytime from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to take advantage of this special program. Plus, we will have our grand opening of our restored log building.

These programs are free and open to the public and are made possible by the Friends of Conrad Weiser Homestead. The on-site bookstore will be open for your convenience.
