Organizers of the 37th annual Union Canal Day offered a last-minute peek at the event, which will be held Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will be held at Union Canal Tunnel Park, 25th Street and Union Canal Drive in Lebanon. Union Canal Day is the year’s largest fundraiser for the park.
Admission is $5 per car. Tickets for a tour of the oldest transportation tunnel in the country are $10 for adults, $5 for students 6 to 17, and free for children 5 and under.
There will be a variety of new and returning vendors, according to a press release. “You will find your annual favorites like the basket raffle and whoopie pie sales, some returning groups such as the 93rd Infantry and several new vendors who will be selling a variety of wares,” the release said. “You can also check out a collection of antique tractors.”
The Red Creek Wildlife Center will showcase a variety of animals at 10 a.m. The group One Achord will lead a sing-along concert from noon to 1 p.m., and Matt Dodd will perform songs and stories at 2 and 4 p.m. There will also be a variety of inexpensive games for kids in the big blue-and-white striped tent.
Food vendors this year are Keller’s BBQ, Victory Dogs, and Kona Ice. Farm Show milkshakes will be sold from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
