The Jackson Township Board of Supervisors approved a payment of $52,329.41 to CriLon Corp. for the East Main Avenue Bridge project at their May 18 meeting.
A balance of $5,653.31 remains to be paid once the final stages of the work are completed. Improvements were made to address scour issues along the bridge footers and abutments along the channel after a county inspector placed it on the county’s list of scour critical bridges. Scour refers to the erosion of soil around a bridge’s foundation caused by flowing water.
Engineer Garik Urban also updated council on the South Ramona Road bridge wing wall repair. Construction is complete, and a final inspection will occur soon.
