Bethel Township

Vehicle accident – At 5:46 a.m. May 19, a 2018 GMC Sierra driven by a 24-year-old Bethel man was traveling south on Union Road, and a 2000 Audi S4 driven by a 34-year-old Myerstown man was traveling north. As the vehicles passed each other, the GMC entered the Audi’s lane of travel and sideswiped it. The GMC’s driver’s side toolbox struck the Audi’s driver’s side front wheel and side, causing disabling damage. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. The Audi was towed from the scene. Police charged the driver of the GMC with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

City of Lebanon

Drug possession, public drunkenness – Police charged Kody Loudermilk, 30, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness after an arrest warrant was served around 10:15 p.m. March 11 on the 100 block of South 9th Street.

Drug possession – Police charged Charles Boltz, 56, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a police response around 7:30 p.m. March 16 on the 200 block of South 4th Street.

DUI – At 12:57 a.m. March 25, police pulled over a black 2019 Ram 1500 on the 1000 block of Guilford Street for a moving violation. Upon initial contact with the driver, Jorge Melecio-Conde, 40, of Lebanon, police smelled alcohol. Melecio-Conde submitted to SFSTs, showed signs of impairment, and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI-alcohol.

Propulsion of missiles onto a roadway, harassment – Police charged Xavier Pena, 21, with propulsion of missiles onto a roadway and harassment after an incident around 8:30 p.m. May 11 in the area of 8th and Cumberland streets.

Driving while suspended – Police charged a 24-year-old woman with driving while suspended (DUI-related) after a traffic stop around 2:30 p.m. May 12 on the 400 block of South 8th Street.

Burglary – Police charged Benjamin Dumez, 46, with burglary after an incident around 8 p.m. May 15 on the 200 block of North 8th Street.

Theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle – Police charged Karina Portillo-Flores, 19, with theft by unlawful taking (motor vehicle theft) and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after an incident around 7:30 a.m. May 19 on the 200 block of Weidman Street.

Heidelberg Township

Commercial burglary – Sometime between 5 p.m. May 13 and 6 p.m. May 16, an Exmark Lazer Z zero-turn mower, a Stihl string trimmer, an Echo string trimmer, and an Echo backpack blower were stolen out of a garage in Schaefferstown. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-5067.

Vehicle accident – Around 8:26 p.m. May 16, a black 2006 Suzuki GSX-S1000 driven by a 19-year-old Stevens man attempted to flee and elude police on South Carpenter Street. The Suzuki was unable to come to a stop at the dead end at the field on South Carpenter Street, exited the road, and tipped over, throwing the driver. The man was wearing a full helmet and sustained no injuries. The Suzuki sustained minor damage. Police charged the man with duties at a stop sign.

Lebanon County Regional

Identity theft, theft by deception – Around 12:29 p.m. March 27, police responded to Yale Electric in North Cornwall Township for a theft. Police said the suspect, later identified as Luis Simeoli Holguin, 31, used a stolen credit card for two transactions totaling $12,292.00. Police charged him with identity theft, theft by deception, and access device fraud.

Retail theft – At 5 p.m. May 7, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township for a retail theft after a 14-year-old girl stole merchandise from the store. Police made contact with a parent and charged the girl with summary retail theft.

DUI – At 12:56 a.m. May 17, police pulled over a vehicle on Old Ebenezer Road at Tunnel Hill Road in North Lebanon Township for a turn signal violation. Police discovered that the driver, Charles Sharpless IV, 49, was under the influence of alcohol, placed him under arrest for DUI, and charged him with DUI and turning movements and required signals.

South Lebanon Township

DUI – Around 4:41 p.m. April 16, police responded to Schaeffer Road and South Lincoln Avenue for a rollover crash with injuries. Police said Kathleen McCracken, 25, operated a vehicle that struck a utility pole and overturned. Police detected signs of impairment, and medical records later confirmed that McCracken’s BAC was around 0.256% and tested positive for marijuana at the time of the crash. McCracken refused chemical testing. Police charged McCracken with DUI-highest rate of alcohol, 0.16% or greater, DUI-incapable of safe driving, and DUI-alcohol or a controlled substance.

Criminal trespass – Around 4 p.m. April 24, police observed Bartley Sando, 77, at AES Ironwood Park. Police said Sando had been issued a notice of trespass from all South Lebanon Township parks in October 2025, so charged him with misdemeanor criminal trespass.

DUI, driving while suspended – Around 10:29 p.m. April 27, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Cumberland Street after observing it traveling at a high rate of speed and committing multiple traffic violations. Police found that the driver, Michael Bazik, 55, was operating the vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended for prior DUI-related offenses. Police observed signs of impairment, and Bazik admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to driving. Police arrested Bazik for DUI and transported him for a legal blood draw. Bazik’s BAC was 0.216% at the time of the traffic stop. Police charged Bazik with misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, misdemeanor DUI-highest rate of alcohol, 0.16% or greater, summary driving while suspended, and summary driving while license is suspended, DUI-related, second violation.

Altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, driving while suspended – On May 11, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Walnut Street for vehicle window tint violations and found that the driver, Rafael Nazario Roman, 33, was operating the vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended. Police also found that the insurance document presented during the traffic stop was counterfeit. Nazario Roman told police he purchased the document through Facebook. Police charged him with misdemeanor altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, summary driving while suspended, and summary operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility.

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident – At 6:48 p.m. May 9, police responded to the 2400 block of Horseshoe Pike in Annville for a crash. Police said a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Lebanon man rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Camp Hill woman while traveling east on SR 322. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle accident – At 3:30 p.m. May 10, police responded to the 700 block of Lawn Road in Palmyra for a crash involving a rollover. Police said a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old Manheim man briefly exited the road before striking a utility pole, which caused the vehicle to roll onto its side.

Vehicle accident – At 3:53 p.m. May 10, police responded to the 2200 block of South Forge Road in Palmyra for a crash. Police said a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Palmyra juvenile exited the road due to wet conditions and struck a tree line adjacent to the road. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle accident – At 3:18 p.m. May 12, police responded to the 00 block of Palmyra Road in Palmyra for a crash. Police said a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Palmyra woman pulled onto Palmyra Road from an adjacent alley, striking a southbound vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Lebanon man in the left turn lane. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle accident – At 8:19 a.m. May 14, police responded to the area of Horseshoe Pike and South Thistledown Drive in Palmyra for a crash. Police said a 38-year-old Palmyra man was stopped for traffic on Horseshoe Pike when it was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Hummelstown woman. One person was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Campbelltown Fire Company assisted on the scene.

Vehicle accident – At 3:25 p.m. May 15, police responded to Springbrook and Barnside drives in Palmyra for a crash. Police said a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old Palmyra resident turned in front of a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Palmyra woman, causing a head-on collision. No injuries were reported. Campbelltown Fire Company assisted on the scene.

Vehicle accident – At 5:11 p.m. May 15, police responded to South Forge Road and Horseshoe Pike in Palmyra for a crash. Police said a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Lebanon man slowed for traffic while traveling west on Horseshoe Pike and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Harrisburg man. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle accident – At 8:10 a.m. May 20, police responded to Horseshoe Pike and South Forge Road in Palmyra for a crash. Police said vehicles driven by a 61-year-old Palmyra man and a 38-year-old Marietta man collided in the intersection while both drivers were attempting to turn left from opposing directions. No injuries were reported.

Joint seat belt and impaired driving enforcement activities – South Londonderry Township Police will participate in joint seat belt and impaired driving enforcement activities as part of the National Click It or Ticket Seat Belt Enforcement Mobilization. The joint mobilization will be conducted through Sunday, May 31.

During joint enforcement operations, South Londonderry Township Police will conduct seat belt and impaired driving enforcement simultaneously. Unbelted and impaired driving crashes are shown to be significant contributors to traffic injuries and deaths, especially during nighttime hours. Swatara Township

Vehicle accident – Around 11:40 a.m. May 7, a 2015 Ford Transit driven by a 52-year-old Palmyra woman was backing up to a loading dock bay at PSP Central Supply. The Ford failed to stop and struck the dock bumper with its right rear door. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries.

Western Lebanon County Regional

DUI, careless driving, driving vehicle at a safe speed – Charges of misdemeanor DUI-highest rate of alcohol, misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, summary careless driving, summary driving vehicle at a safe speed, and summary required financial responsibility were filed against Jensen Shanfelder, 27. Charges stem from a crash at 12:44 a.m. April 4 at West Main and White Oak streets in Annville. Shanfelder’s BAC was 0.213% at the time of the crash.

Theft from a motor vehicle, identity theft, access device fraud – On May 13, police charged Jaylen Harvey-Longmire, 20, with multiple charges of theft from a motor vehicle, identity theft, access device fraud, and receiving stolen property. Charges stem from several incidents in Palmyra between Jan. 2 and 6, when unlocked vehicles were entered overnight. Western Lebanon County Regional Police would like to remind residents to ensure their vehicles are locked each night and valuables removed.

Terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment – At 10:15 p.m. May 14, police responded to the 500 block of Palm City Park in South Annville Township for a domestic incident. Police determined that Bruce Zimmerman, 65, assaulted another person and threatened them with a knife. Police arrested Zimmerman on charges of misdemeanor terroristic threats, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment. Police transported Zimmerman to LCCB with bail set at $3,000 secured.

DUI – Around 6:19 p.m. May 16, police responded to the 900 block of West Cherry Street in Palmyra for a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Police determined that the driver, Christopher Gonzales, 44, had been driving while intoxicated and charged him with misdemeanor DUI-alcohol and three summary violations.

Criminal trespass – On May 19, police responded to the 200 block of West Church Street in Annville for a trespass. Police determined that Luis Castro, 37, entered a home without permission. Police later took Castro into custody and transported him to LCCB. Police charged Castro with misdemeanor criminal trespass.

Law Enforcement Unit Ride – During National Police Week, Chief Winters participated in the Law Enforcement Unit Ride “The Road to Hope.” The ride starts in Reading, PA, and ends in Washington, D.C. The money raised goes to support Concerns of Police Survivors and Officer Down Memorial Page.
