Bethel Township
Theft by deception – On May 4, a 53-year-old Fredericksburg woman reported to PSP – Jonestown that she was contacted by Lebanon Federal Credit Union and advised of fraudulent charges on her account. The woman was advised to send her debit card with an Uber driver who was sent to her residence. The woman was contacted again and told to withdraw $9,500 in cash, place it in an envelope, and send it with another Uber driver. The woman complied with both instructions before realizing it was a scam.
DUI crash – At 12:02 a.m. May 8, a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Jonathan Wenger, 32, of Lititz, accompanied by a 32-year-old Annville man, was traveling east on Chestnut Hill Road, approaching its intersection with Fredericksburg Road. The Chevrolet failed to stop at the stop sign, exited the road and became stuck on rocks along the roadside. Both occupants sustained suspected injuries and were transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Wenger provided a blood sample while at Hershey Medical Center. Police charged Wenger with DUI-unsafe driving.
City of Lebanon
DUI – Police charged Daphane Gomez-Galarza, 36, with DUI and period for required lighted lamps after a traffic stop around 2:30 a.m. March 1 on the 900 block of Walnut Street.
Retail theft – Police charged Devin English, 34, with retail theft after an incident around 9 a.m. May 18 on the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
Simple assault – Police charged Luis Ramos-Mendez, 24, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after police responded to a domestic disturbance call around 2 p.m. May 22 on the 400 block of North 6th Street.
Evading arrest or detention on foot, drug possession – Police charged Carlos Rodriguez, 32, with evading arrest or detention on foot and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was arrested around 10:15 p.m. May 22 on the 1300 block of Cumberland Street after he fled from officers on foot due to having an active arrest warrant.
Tampering with physical evidence, drug possession, public drunkenness – Police charged Kevin McWhite, 56, with tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness after police responded to a domestic disturbance call around 1:30 p.m. May 23 on the 00 block of North 6th Street.
Drug possession – Police charged Thomas Beard, 37, with possession of drug paraphernalia after taking him into custody on an active arrest warrant around 11:15 p.m. May 24 on the 900 block of Cumberland Street.
Drug possession – Police charged Brandon Boehmer, 40, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after taking him into custody on an active arrest warrant for a prior burglary offense around 10:45 a.m. May 25 on the 1100 block of Cumberland Street.
East Hanover Township
Theft of a motor vehicle – At 9:52 p.m. May 16, someone stole a 52-year-old Reading man’s green 2005 Toyota Camry on Route 934 North.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle accident, driving on roadways laned for traffic – At 5:18 p.m. May 5, a 2015 Kia Soul was traveling west on Route 897. A 2020 Nissan Murano was traveling east in the westbound lane. The Kia avoided the collision and came to final rest, facing south. The vehicles did not make contact. The Kia was towed from the scene by RJ Sells. Neither driver sustained any injuries. Police charged the driver of the Nissan with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Jackson Township
Trespass – At 4:30 a.m. May 28, a 57-year-old Lebanon man and an 18-year-old Lebanon man entered a property on East Lincoln Avenue without the 50-year-old Lebanon female owner’s permission and went dumpster diving for goods. The incident involved a red 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Lebanon County Regional
Bench warrant served – With the assistance of the Lebanon City Police, Francisco Irizarry Irizarry, 29, was arrested on May 3. The original charges were two counts of misdemeanor retail theft and one count of summary driving while suspended.
Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal conspiracy – On May 5, police responded to Byler Circle after a scrap hauler was called to remove a grill from the residence on Byler Circle. The scrap hauler, who was accompanied by his son, Scott Stauffer, 38, decided to remove a Weber grill valued at $1,200 from a neighbor’s residence on the 200 block of Springwood Drive in Lebanon and then pick up the scrap grill on Byler Circle. The scrap haulers were stopped by police in their pickup truck, where the Weber grill was in the bed of the truck. Police recovered the grill and returned it to the owner. Police charged Stauffer with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking or disposition and misdemeanor criminal conspiracy-theft by unlawful taking or disposition.
Swatara Township
Vehicle accident, driving on roadways laned for traffic – At 6:05 p.m. May 26, a 2012 Acura TSX driven by an 18-year-old Lancaster man was traveling east in the right lane of Route 22 at its intersection with North Mill Street. The Acura failed to negotiate a right turn onto North Mill Street and exited the road off the right shoulder, striking a pole. The man was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained a possible injury, and was evaluated on the scene but refused transport by EMS. The Acura sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Police charged the man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Union Township
Harassment – Around 10:30 p.m. May 26, a 30-year-old Jonestown woman shoved her mother, a 53-year-old Jonestown woman, while engaged in an argument on Jonestown Road. Police charged the 30-year-old with harassment.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, traffic violations – Charges of misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude police, summary reckless driving, and seven additional summary traffic violations were filed against Peter Torok, 36, of Reading. Charges stem from an incident May 16 on the 1200 block of East Main Street in Palmyra.
Simple assault – Around 6:34 p.m. May 25, police responded to a residence on the 200 block of West Cherry Street in Palmyra for a report of an active domestic dispute. Police determined that Joeleen Perry, 55, assaulted another person, causing an injury. Police took Perry into custody, transported her to LCCB, and charged Perry with misdemeanor simple assault (domestic violence-related).
Terroristic threats, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, harassment – Around 2:35 a.m. May 27, police responded to the 00 block of South Lancaster Street in Annville for a domestic dispute. Police determined that Andrew Koch, 35, assaulted another person, causing injuries. Police took Koch into custody, transported him to LCCB, and charged him with misdemeanor terroristic threats, misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking, and summary harassment.
Defiant trespass, public drunkenness – Around 6:55 p.m. May 29, police responded to Sheetz in Palmyra for a trespass. Police made contact with the subject, Devin English, 34, who was previously arrested for trespassing at Sheetz in February 2025. Police took English into custody and transported him to LCCB. Police charged English with misdemeanor defiant trespass and summary public drunkenness.
